Frustrating experience with MS today

It's been said before, but I'll repeat it: doublecheck everything when you call MS to make sure they've done what you've requested.

Called today to make a January and June 07 reservation, and to cancel a prior made 6/07 reservation. I had borrowed 40 out of 50 2007 BCV points for our June trip, so I wanted to use the total BCV points for the January trip, and save my HH points for HH priority.

Anyway, I thought the points sounded off, but wasn't sure. After I got off the phone, I looked on line and realized they had left me with 10 BCV points for 07, and used HH points instead.

I call back, and the MS worker argued with me that I couldn't use 07 points to make a reservation if I had any 06 points remaining--I HAD to use all 06 points before I could borrow. After carefully explaining for the 5th time why what I wanted was possible, MS finally allowed me to do what I had originally asked!

Agree that it's important to confirm point balances, etc every time one makes a transaction. Especially important if more than one contract. By doing so, I've caught a couple of innocent mistakes, and they've caught a couple of mine.

It's a lot easier to do right then and there than to call back and try to sort things out.

Another thing I find helpful now....open up the DVC web site and you can check immediately if the reservation and point status is what you thought. So that becomes another way of checking that everything is good.

Glad that your persistence won over and you were able to do what you wanted to do.

I discovered once that MS had used some of my VWL points rather than the BWV points I had intended to use. The problem was corrected quickly. I was in a panic though, because with only 38 VWL points I have to bank one year and borrow another to get a stay there at 11mo. I was so afraid my future plans would be messed up!
