Frustrated with online placeholder

I've been trying for a couple days to work through a booking using the placeholder online.

It glitched out or I get the 7 dwarfs problem screen.

I will call- which I hate. Anyone else similar thing and found a work around online? We bought our placeholder literally the day they started being able to be used online so I wonder if it just got screwed up.

Anyway-

Quick questions.

The $250 - is it already applied to the cost of the cruise I'm seeing with the placeholder discount or is it applied when I get to checkout. Hope that makes sense.

The cost you see online will be the full price (discounted at 10%). The $250 you paid will come off the deposit amount you owe. So if the required deposit is $1000 for your cruise, you will then owe $750. Then the balance due after you apply the payment will reflect the $1000 paid. Hope that makes sense.

Yes thank you.

Called and got booked.

It would let me get as far as choosing room and putting in everyone's information and then glitch out.

It worked for me a few weeks ago, but not initially. Like many of Disney's IT initiatives, it appears to be buggy.

Saturday there seemed to be an issue with the booking system - you could look but you couldn't get to the payment page. I remember I was looking and trying to do price checks vs. what I had to change and got the "our booking system is down at the moment" message. It appeared to be for all types of bookings for cruises.

And it seems like they changed the terms of how many placeholders a person can have. Last year, we were able to purchase/have multiple placeholders in our stateroom, per cruise. But this year, it was one per household, per Stateroom, per cruise.

Can I ask when that started for you because I picked up two in Feb with no issue ?

During our cruise on the Wonder, this May.

We were trying to purchase multiple placeholders using the app and it said we had already purchased one in our stateroom. I inquired with guest services and was told that it was always like this, which I know is not true. Then I took a look at the terms and conditions and it now states, one per household, per Stateroom. So, I am not sure when the official change happened.

Ugh. Just when I was about to do our first two placeholders for a stateroom

If it’s any consolation this website glitched when I first attempted to read your post

You can select two rooms when you do your placeholder. But they are in the same "placeholder". I'm guessing the person before purchased one and they tried to do a second, which would make sense that it didn't work.
We were on the Treasure a couple of weeks ago and had the option to select two rooms when we did our placeholder. When you do that, the two rooms need to be used on the same cruise. So, you aren't really booking two placeholders. We've done this if we have upcoming plans for someone else to cruise with us.

Just to make sure there is no misunderstanding. You used to be able to purchase multiple placeholders ( up to two rooms) during a single cruise. Now, you can only purchase one placeholder for up to two rooms. At least on the Wonder in May, the terms and conditions say "One placeholder (up to two rooms on the same cruise) per household, per room, per cruise."

So, on our B2B, we could only purchase two, total places holders. One on each cruise.
