Close out your browser and start over. If you can use another browser like Firefox try that. If that doesn't work reboot. If that doesn't work it's Disney's problem and try again tomorrow.
Clear your browser cache and reboot your computer. Also some folks don't realize how many companies are under the Disney IT umbrella, ESPN, ABC, Lifetime?
This happens to me all the time because I use ESPN for fantasy football under a different account.
Its simple to work around it though...
Where it says "We recognize that you are already logged on to another Disney account. To validate your Disney Vacation Club membership information, please continue here." Click on "continue here". Then there will be a button that says "return to dvcmember.com" on the next page. Click that and you'll be brought back to the typical login page.

Did you try doing a restart? This has happened to me, but I've always found out later that I may not have signed out on the dining site, passholder site, DWTS site, disneyshopping site. If I dump my cookies, temp files and it doesn't help, I just power down and that always solves the problem. Good luck.

I tried everything you said last month. Nothing worked. Had to email them and have them sent me a new password so I could log on. Never....in 11 years of being a Member.....had I seen the "validate" you account ? It was acting like I was siging up for the first time and I've been a member for over a decade. Just strange and annoying---especially since I was trying to do online check-in and couldn't wait for a response which can take days from them.
Do you have the same user name, or email address associated with the disney.go website? If so, you will need to log off of there first. Then your user name, password, will work on dvcmember.com.
I just started having this same problem yesterday!! I tried every idea that was presented in this thread and it still won't work. This isn't the first time that this has happened.
I'm not computer savvy so the only i don't know about it the cookie thing.
