Arrgghh! I was on plan all week, but just can't lose. I have been having a bit of trouble "moving things along" and yesterday I had a diet soda, and my rings won't move today. I am at the same weight I was last weekend. Does anyone else notice that diet soda can make them retain water? It was a diet root beer, with 100mg of sodium (diet pepsi only has 35mg!). Does any one else get frustrated when they have been on plan, but the scale won't move? I did measure, and have lost some inches, but I have to say I want the scale to reflect it too!! (Which I know is wrong, but hey, today I am feeling a bit blue! :worried: ) Sigh.

PS. A good point though, is that I am stuck at my lowest weight!

Ugh...it is frustrating when you've been doing everything you're supposed to and the scale still won't move! I've been there before, sometimes without the scale moving for 2-3 weeks:mad: and it can be discouraging! It does sound as though you may be retaining a little water if your rings don't fit. Even though it may not make you feel better at the moment, the inches ARE coming off, which means your body is still responding to all your hard work--you're just not seeing it on the scale (yet)! And if you're exercising and building muscle, you may not see the scale move (or may have a slight gain) as muscle weighs more than fat. But, girl, you are shrinking! The weight will eventually start coming off again as your body adjusts--I know others have posted helpful tips on plateau-busters so hopefully they may have some good advice for you. Keep your chin up--this happens during weight loss, and it's just something we have to accept and deal with as best we can although it is a pain in the you-know-what! It is temporary though, and soon you'll be seeing that scale go back down--I promise!:) Keep up the great work...

I'm sorry! First off, here's a  There now, doesn't that feel better? I'm glad you are focusing on the positve! I know exactly how you feel about your stall. I' myself, after haveing the very same problems you described, resorted to fiber additive (metamusil  ) and am praying that helps.
Are you getting enough fiber? I'm doing SB and still in Phase one so fiber is in short supply. While I have lost 3 pounds in just over a week, I look like I'm expecting! I am having a hard time buttoning my jeans! Yes, I have noticed diet soda does bloat me. DH says yes for him, too. I have taken to just water and iced tea. Oh yeah, how about your water consumption? Make sure you get plenty of that, especially if you've had a salty day.
Just keep your head up! Things will "get moving" soon enough (well, maybe not soon enough ;) ) and you will start seeing the scale move again. (I have actally had a scale get quite literally "stuck", and had to get a new one. That was one of the happiest days of my life, throwing out that d***** scale!) Keep the Faith in you and don't turn away from your goal! Look how far you've come, and think where you will be in a year!

Jeanne,
Hang in there! I see by your clippie that you've lost 20 lbs. That's a great achievement! Plus, you said you are losing inches, so whatever you're doing is working. I know it is so frustrating when the scales won't budge, but just stick with it and drink plenty of water and soon those scales will reflect all your hard work.

Thanks guys, I do feel better. I also picked up some metamucil today, and will use it if I need too. I went to my Neice's 21st birthday today, and my family kept commenting on my weight loss (33lbs so far) and that was very encouraging! :grouphug: :grouphug:
