Frustrated getting CC airline miles credited so I can book a WDW trip

DH and I own a small business and pay many of our bills with a Barclays US Airways (hometown airline) CC to earn miles for travel. We made several big capital expenditures a couple months ago on the CC and should have earned 35,000 miles that month.::yes:: The miles show up on our CC bill and online CC account (and paid in full), and a phone call to Barclays confirms they were earned and sent to US Airways.

But they didn't credit into our US Airways frequent flier account!! :( I have made several phone calls, sent screenshots of the two accounts not matching and they are perpetually "investigating" by e-mailing Barclays.

I need those miles to have firm dates before I can book anything! Meanwhile, I have watched Free Dining be announced and availability probably slipping away. I want to go to WDW end of September, so dining reservations are filling or full (no BOG, for sure). And that magic 60-day FP+ window approaches.

So this is mostly a rant to people who understand my computerized pacing/stalking of my frequent flier account, and a bit of a plea to anyone who has any tips how to get this resolved!!! I am going to try Barclays again but have limited hope of reaching anyone who has the power to push a button and fix it.

I'm sure you have already done so, but check to make sure that Barclay's has your US Airways FF number correct. Being one digit off or missing alpha or zeros might be the monkey wrench in the transfer.

If everything is correct, it might be that their transfers take a long time, "10 to 12 weeks after ..." or something on US Airways on how they credit the miles.

If you can afford it, it might save some gray hairs to just purchase the airfare so you can move forward with your planning. It sucks that you can't use the miles you earned and counted on but now you can look forward to another trip!

First, why not book the WDW package with the assumption you'll get there somehow. That way you don't miss any deals.

Second, I'm not sure how to motivate the two parties and rectify the issue. However, I have suggestions on whom to ask

- email Gary Leff at "gary -at- viewfromthewing.com". he is a travel blogger with a booking business, and knows the credit card miles game very well. he should be able to give you some insight. Oh, and he is a CFO for a University and a travel writer for Conde Nast magazine, so he isn't just some kid doing this. You can read about him on his website View from the Wing.

- you can check the US Airways page of the FlyerTalk website. It is the DIS of airlines and credit card miles.

Good luck!

ETA: Here is a link to Barclay's physical address. Send them a letter explaining the situation in firm but concise verbiage and state your desired resolution.

Also, sometimes a company's twitter account or email accounts can be faster in resolving a problem, which is especially true for airlines.

Barclay's definitely has our FF mile # correct -- all other points from months before and after have credited.

When I called US Airways 6 weeks ago and sent in an email with supporting documentation attached that they had asked for, they said it could take up to 30 days to resolve, and I've been patiently waiting.

The trip is still tentative until I have airfare.

I know I definitely need to call Barclays again. They confirmed to me way back that the miles were earned and sent to US Airways ... but they never made it. Not sure why the emails from US Airways officials aren't getting a similar response.

I really can't book a package until I have firm dates. We are flexible over several weeks in September, but the lower-point tickets may not still be there for certain dates as it gets closer.

I will check out FlyerTalk too.
