We were at Disney in Dec. Had a chance to book with a bounce back offer. The dates were not the ones I was hoping for so I DIDN'T book it. Now I am wondering what the H--- was wrong with me. I want to go back sooooo bad and should have tried to rearrange dates. Anyone else make this mistake?

We never booked the Bounceback either, and just last week I read here somewhere, that you should always book it and then sweet talk yourself to a CM to change the dates.

Someone said that is the offer is still on-going and dates are available you are able to change it.

Yep..been there done that. You can always tweak things around but not much can be done if you don't book while you are there.

I know doesn't that make you mad! I didn't do it at WDW but did on the DCL. They offer shipboard credit and a discount for rebooking. I really missed the boat on that one! :boat: :boat:

I was kinda mad at myself for not booking bounceback when we were there last May. I think from now on, I'll just pick a date and book.

This time we already have dates picked for our next couple of trips. They aren't set in stone, so hopefully we'll be able to maneuver within the timeframe bounceback is offered.

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to sweet-talk anyone into changing an offer to dates when it's not available (e.g. if you booked the Free Dining Future Stay promotion last September for September 2009, you probably can't convince anyone to let you change your reservation to Thanksgiving week but keep the promotion), but what do I know? ;)

Also, one major condition of any Future Stay/BounceBack promotion is that the Guest needs to make the return reservation while they are still checked in at their Disney resort during the existing booking period - but again, I've been wrong before.

How do you find out about bounce back offers? Does someone contact you at your resort or do you have to ask?

We'll be there in a couple weeks and we've decided to try and take a bounce back if it's offered.

Before your trip, keep an eye on the Codes and Discounts forum here; also, start your DIS board visits at www.disboards.com and check the list of DIS Site Updates at the top of that page; also check mousesavers.com regularly; also check all the paperwork in your room; also ask at Lobby Concierge (maybe a few different times during your trip, at different times of the day in case not all CMs are up-to-date on the latest information.

Oh I so hear you! I didn't book.. twice!! Next time I'm learning my lesson!

I was there in Dec as well. It was our first time there and I guess I didn't pay attention to the Bounceback offer...Now I wish I did....

Yeah - I figure, if I can afford the $200 deposit, I book the BounceBack package. I have until around mid-August this year to cancel, or for my brother to say, "You're an idiot, use my points" :teeth: Gotta love brothers.

This way, I'm not driving to work on back roads on the first day the Free Dining promo opens to the general public, steering with one hand and holding the cellphone with the other, only to be cut off after an hour because my danged phoned doesn't work in the garage :( and hoping my dates/resort are available.

Well, the thing is, information on promotional offers isn't necessarily available in all the locations I suggested above; that's why I provided so many. Truly, the most reliable sources are the DIS boards, the DIS Site Updates, and Mousesavers. In 2007, the 2008 Future Stay flier was in some rooms, but the information was also shown on one of the Disney in-room TV channels. In 2008, it wasn't on any TV channel. If you asked at the Front Desk, some CMs knew about it and some didn't (and some impartial but helpful and knowledgeable Guests who overheard such conversations where the CM couldn't help, were able to provide the Guest with the phone extenstion to call and the information that it had to be done while still checked in).

We were in 3 different rooms, all had bounceback offers although none the same percent. There was a flyer on the desk/table. I didn't think I could move the dates they had but that I would try to rearrange my schedule to make it work. Just very mad at myself. Before I left for vacation, I promised myself I would book then could cancel if I wanted. Just don't know what I was thinking.

Does anyone know if when you book a bounce back you can book two rooms? I was thinking we would bring family with us next time. We are headed to WL in May and I would like to bounce back to December????

Does anyone know if any bounce back days were between Nov. 25 and Dec. 2 2009????

Does the bounce back offer require you to stay in the same hotel as your current hotel? I always like to visit a different hotel each time.

Is a deposit required when you book a BounceBack? If so, how much? Is it refundable if you need to cancel; and if so, how far in advance do you have to let them know?

Is there a minimum stay required?

Thanks! I'd like to have this all figured out so I can make a good decision if a BounceBack deal is offered to me.

Yes there is a deposit required. It is one nights deposit, and it is refundable if you cancel 5 days out.(Unless the cancellation rules have changed) And there is no minimum stay required.

Yes, you can book 2 rooms.

No, you do not have to stay at the same resort.
