I am exactly 3 weeks out from our Disney vacation and freaking out that I can't get a straight answer from anyone about receiving the balance of my account on a Disney Gift Card.
I called a week and a half ago so 4 1/2 weeks out to purchase a Disney Gift Card with my remaining balance. The CM on the phone seemed confused and was telling me to do it online but there was no option to do so. Every time I clicked a link to request a Disney Gift Card it took me to a FAQ telling me I need to call on the phone to purchase.
So she took my information to do it, but seemed really unsure about what she was doing. She didn't even take my entire account number and there was no confirmation number, no confirmation email, etc. I called back a few days later just because I was a little nervous about it as the money was still sitting in my account and another CM told me the process is new which is why she probably seemed unsure but she had no way to look up and that it should come out within a few days. A full week goes by with the money still there so I call Saturday morning and they are not open.
I call this morning and despite saying their hours are 7am to 11pm EST at 10am they are saying they are closed to all inquiries except for compromised accounts? What? I also emailed in the meantime and the response says it can take up to 10 days to hear back.
Anyone with experience purchasing a Disney Gift Card with the balance in your DVA? Every other purchase or transaction I made showed up instantly so the fact that my money is still sitting there 11 days later makes me really nervous that it's not being processed. And of course we are now well under the 4-6 weeks they ask for processing if that's the case.
I just don't know where else to even try contacting someone for an answer at this point but I'll keep trying them by phone.
