Fruit Picking

We went fruit picking today

There were so many raspberries that we got carried away and picked nearly 10Kg!! DW's going to make some jam

We also got some nice strawberries - going to have them later with some fresh cream - yummie!

We ended up at a PYO farm in Heather, just the other side of Ibstock. I saw it advertised in the Hinckley Journal. They have tons of raspberries and some strawberries left. There is also a small tea room. When we drove through Heather thay had a 'Scarecrow Festival'. Lots ofthe local houses had scarecrows in their gardens - all with a diffenent theme. We saw a Simpsons scarecrow in one garden! It looked like fun

Directions:

Go along the A447 towards Ibstock, tune off to the left as you enter Ibstock and you come into Heather. At the T-junction turn left and then right. The farm is on the right just as you leave the village.
