Where are Kristoff's parents? They never explain why he didn't have any.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers?

Who took care of things when Anna and Elsa's parents died ... before Elsa became queen?

I don't know about the first three, but it was pretty clear in the movie that the palace had a staff; obviously they took care of things.

I meant as far as who ran the kingdom? King and Queen are dead.... 2 underage girls.... You think just an insignificant staff member ran the kingdom, and cared for the girls? And we never met them or had any role in the movie? Lol

I assumed it wasn't "explained" because it wasn't important to the story. He was an orphan (at least that's what seemed to be implied) and was adopted by the trolls.

Why was Elsa born with magical powers?

You could just as easily ask why wasn't Anna born with magical powers...again, I assume the point of the story wasn't to explain where the powers came from, but rather the effects that having the power had on the sisters' relationships.

Who took care of things when Anna and Elsa's parents died ... before Elsa became queen?

Well, it seems likely that there was some kind of council of other nobles in the kingdom that probably took over and ran the kingdom until Elsa came of age. Or it's also possible that Elsa did have a hand in running in the kingdom before being official made Queen. That time period is glossed over, so anything is possible.

My husband and I were just talking about this. Yes, there are unanswered questions, namely the ones someone above already touched on. Were they super important to the story? No. But they are things I've been thinking about since my son insists on watching the movie once a day.

Where were Kristoff's parents? Was his dad one of the ice men? If so, what happened to him? If he died cutting ice, which is what my husband thinks happened, why wasn't Kristoff more afraid or nervous?

Where did Elsa get her powers from? If she was born with them, did someone else in the family have powers before her? And why didn't Anna get powers?

Where were their parents going when they died?

Why were Rapunzel and Flynn there on Coronation day?

There are a million things you could ask. They aren't important, but it's fun to speculate.

No, not anymore. While she was growing up, before she gained full control of her very special powers, that sometimes did happen, but purely by accident.

I'm not sure about that, but Rapunzel and Flynn do have a cameo in Frozen so it's possible the worlds are connected. It has been suggested that perhaps Anna and Elsa's parents were attending Rapunzel and Flynn's wedding when they ran into stormy seas.

The segue before the coronation indicate that the story continues three years after their deaths. Frozen premiered three years after Tangled.

But why was Kristoff adopted by trolls? What happened to the Ice men he was with earlier? Did they not care one bit about the little boy and his pet reindeer with his little miniature version of the sled? Where did he get that? AND WHY is he out cutting ice with the men?? O_O

what is up with the Trolls? they're as mysterious as the Wisps in Brave.. what is that, really? LOL.

Well after all the dust settled, or should I say snow, he was later arrested, but spared a long prison sentence because the sisters took pity on him, showing him far more compassion and understanding that he had towards them. He was sent of packing into the deep, mysterious woods, where he has to learn to live off of the land. Here he will have to stay, until the sisters decide that he has learned his lesson.

This is fandom speculation (also an attempt to connect Ariel to the Frozen girls), but in reality, Disney has a history of "easter eggs" in their films, and character cameos aren't at all uncommon, and there's no hidden meaning behind them.
