Has anyone experienced this last year? I just purchased our tickets for this summer and I was wondering and peoples experiences. I've read a few reviews on this and I was curious about a few things in particular.

1. I understand that by purchasing this package, there is reserved up-front seating for the welcome ceremony (parade) when Anna and Elsa are welcomed into the park. From what people are saying in the reviews, they are lining up outside Min and Bills at 9:30-9:45am and the parade starts at 11am. So if I purchase this package, the only way to guarentee a good seat where my 7 and 4 year old will be able to see the parade is to wait around for an hour and a half before parade time? That doesn't sound right to me...

2. A lot of people were mentioning that for the fireworks the reserved section is not the best viewing place. Do you think that since the hat has been removed this will provide better viewing options?

I'm super excited for this particular package - it was only after purchasing that I was reading the reviews; while most of the reviews would recommend purchasing the package, my main concern was wasting an hour and a half for the parade....that's valuable park time. Was just wondering what others opinions and experiences were in regards to this package.

Thanks all!!!

We did the package last year.

Unless things have changed and I've missed it, there is no seating for the welcome parade. You have entry to a roped off area near the front, but there were no seats. The marked out an area on the ground for kids to sit in, but nothing more than that. We turned up early to enjoy the snacks, and took a break as we woke up stupidly early (first morning, so still on English time at that point!!) If you've got small children, you'll want to be nearer the front than we two tall adults needed to be, so arriving earlier is more necessary.

Yep, no seats, and it's technically not up front because there is not enough space for everyone to stand right at the rope. If you aren't there early (meaning an hour before the parade), you will be standing behind people. they do have a marked space for kids to sit, but the parents aren't allowed to sit with them (parents stand behind), which won't work for a kid who won't be separated from the parent(s).

if the parade starts at 10:30am, what time should I 'check in' to make sure the kids get an up front spot on the rope to see?

Not true. One parent can sit with the child.

1. There is a reserved spot for the parade, with snacks there (mickey bars, sodas, and italian ice,) 80% of which is saved for where the kids are sitting. Adults get to stand behind that... you end up farther away than if you just stood on the street.

2. I don't recall if that impacted the view or not.

I was very disappointed in this package, there was little to no value other than the dessert party... which had a small selection. I wouldn't recommend this at all unless you are a drinker and want to tip back a few. I've done just about every paid extra disney has to offer, but this was one of two that were definitely not worth it. (To me.)

We did this last year and loved it. Yes, it is money you don't have to spend, but for us it made an awesome day. The desserts and drinks were wonderful, and priority access to three separate events during the day made us feel like VIPs all day and night. We showed up for the processional at the last possible second and enjoyed it. We weren't front row, but the kids were eating free ice cream, so no one complained.

This year, I talked myself out of booking on the day it was released because we did it last year and 10 yo DD is now at adult prices. I later changed my mind and tried to book it again, but our dates are already sold out.

Congrats on booking it! Go, have a blast being VIPs for the day!
