I'm guessing that ain't happening. But if it does happen, I am assuming Twitter is the quickest way to find out about it, no? What account should I be watching - @disneyparks?

Doubt it, think there would be a lot about it on here, if it was that close.

Well, it's opening this June, and there's already a bit of chatter about a Soarin' soft opening (with the old film) before the latter's official re-opening date of June 17th.

I'm grasping at straws here, I know.

the point of a soft opening is to try it with guests before it's the official stamped. No official account will mention it. The different unofficial blogs and especially this forum will have quick word on if people are getting in early. Pirates soft opened really early but it wasn't opened for normal capacity at first. if you happened to be there when they let some in, you got to do it before official re-opening day..

Is it official that it's opening in June? I hope your right but sometimes they delay the opening. ROL was "supposed" to open on earth day, April 22nd and now they are saying not til the end of
the summer? It's tough because people get their hopes up that they are going to be able to see these new attractions and then Disney doesn't get them open in time. I wonder sometimes if Disney does this so people "have" to make another trip down because "they missed their favorite ride". I really wonder if that's part of it.

It says "June", but not a specific day. Being "official" does not hinder their ability to delay the opening, as you pointed out with Rivers of Light.

I would not put it past them, but I'm not sure ROL, in and of itself, is really going to draw a family back for a later trip just to see that show. Frankly, I would think WDW would want ROL open ASAP to draw some of the summer nighttime crowds away from MK and Epcot.

No official date has been announced. CM get schedules a couple weeks in advance. That's usually the time period rumors start.

Launch Bay was rumored to be having a soft opening, but that didn't happen. Instead it had it's official opening without soft opening.

New Fantasyland had a previews and soft openings. There were preview days for cm and AP. As well as periodic soft openings.

No one but the powers that be know for sure what's going on.
