Yes I was totally against Maelstrom leaving, but alas I do have a 5 year old daughter who LOVES frozen. Is there any chance it will be open by late October?

I don't usually give absolute answers, but in this case: no, sorry.

Nope, it won't be open until 2016. When in 2016 is another question. I bet they would like to have it ready for peak spring break but who knows.

Sounds like 7 Dwarfs all over again! We went in early May last year and it was having empty car runs the week we were there. So disappointing to be so close but miss the opening or soft openings. I think originally they were saying "spring 2014" for that ride, well gosh darn it I thought going in May would be "spring".... oh well......

Just so long as it draws the crowds away from Soarin'-LOL. I won't ever be on it, I think it's too sad to change Epcot World Showcase into movie rides. Also too bad for Norway when the author and the original story is from Denmark.

Disney doesn't announce specific dates far in advance. They keep things like this mushy and vague to prevent disappointment if they fall behind their schedule. Once it becomes clear that they can make an opening date, then they publish it--no more than a month or two prior if that.

They are building a ride and a meet and greet next to it. I wonder if the meet and greet will open before the ride.??

wishful thinking :genie:

It's really Norway's own fault. They stopped sponsoring the pavilion - so they lost any right to direct it's future.
Norway should be happy that they don't just rename it the Arrandale pavilion...
