Frozen merchandise

All fair points and easily and logically explians being caught off guard initially and having trouble filling the demand back around Christmas time. However, we are four months past that. They really should have gotten a lot more products (particulalry apparel) to the shelves then what they have over the last couple of months. The problem likely is that in their quest for making everything as cheaply as possible, the manufacturing plants they have making all this stuff in the third-world countries and China are not agile enough to increase normal production rates to meet demand nor can they shift from making other products and focus mainly on Frozen items. For example, where ever they have t-shirts made should have stopped making anything other than Frozen t-shirts months ago and should be churning them out like crazy. Clearly that is not happening.

I agree. I get that Disney didn't anticipate the initial demand and there wasn't enough stock available.... But since they brought in the 2nd round when the DVD was released I see no reason they couldn't have had more inventory available. By end of December they knew it was crazy popular. They certainly have had enough DVD/Blu-ray inventory to go around. My uneducated guess is the actual profit margin for Disney on the dresses must not be that good.

The CNY shutdown that lasts 1-2 weeks certainly didn't help. Disney should have anticipated this & planned to accommodate it in their production schedule. Did they? Probably not.

I work for jcpenney and we get frozen shipments at least every two weeks can't say what your local store will have or get in I can't even be sure what or if we get but take a look there for stuff

While it's still expensive, $150 looks downright cheap compared to the others!

I agree! I bought it on eBay about 3 weeks ago (from a different seller who gave me measurements of the dress which I compared to Disney dress that we already have). I did get the 9/10 and it fits with some growing room. I paid $150 for it, including shipping, which is insane, but like you said, I think the prices just keep going up on eBay. With no new infusion of dresses into the market, demand keeps outpacing supply by a greater margin. I do see the JC Penney dress on eBay for around $100 but still...a lot for a dress, no doubt!

Hope for all our little princesses that they get more in ASAP!!

I was just on the Disney store website and they have more frozen merchandise available than when I was on last week. elsa dress, pj's and some shirts :)

They just added a bunch of new Frozen stuff onto the Disney Website. Hopefully this helps someone!

OMG!!! Just got both singing dolls, baby Sven, Kristoff animator AND the Elsa dress in size 10!

I got my DD6 her dress in 5/6. Also picked up stuffed sven and some pj's. Already had the dolls. My mom went online as well and got my niece stuffed olaf and some pj's. They went fast. She tried to get a dress size10 but they were gone.

I feel like I won the Lotto. I was on the phone with disneystore.com and hitting refresh on the browser Frozen page when all of a sudden the dresses appeared. I have never ordered something so fast from the internet in my life!!! I am so happy I was able to get the dress for my little girl before our trip in May. I also ordered her the Tiara, pjs, and who knows what else... lol

Anyone check Etsy? From other things I've seen, a bit less than Ebay...can't swear to what's there, but I know I was looking at window clings the other day that were too cute.

I keep hoping against hope that the eBay people will start coming down on their Dooney and Bourke Haunted Mansion purses, because $800 is just insane.

We don't have children, but I did get an Elsa dress to put on the wall of my craft room along with an Anna dress and a Rapunzel wedding dress (that we did get off of eBay). I haven't put them up yet, but now we're talking about moving and I don't want to put them up only to have to do it all again. First world problems.
