Frozen merchandise is so hot right now!

I was wondering why I couldn't find the Elsa and Ana costumes on the Disney store site (I plan to buy them and have them shipped to our hotel later in the year) but I hadn't even been able to lay eyes on them. Now I know why!

Thanks to the link in the article I was able to see the costumes on Amazon and while gorgeous I can't believe people will pay over $200 for one!

I think all of this on selling for ridiculous prices will just encourage Disney to raise it's prices of popular products in the future..

Gosh by the sounds of that article, some parents are taking it a bit too seriously - have their kids ever been told NO.

My kids rarely got things like that as when they were younger we just didnt have the money for disney products, like the buzz or woody doll or whatever the movie craze was at the time. Usually they got the dvd, maybe some puzzles or colouring in books etc relating to that movie. They still loved santa for what they did get.

I know, people expect so much now and that entitlement attitude is being passed on to the kids.

I could have sworn I saw the costumes advertised in either Big W or Target catalogue here though? I now they probably aren't as good as the disney quality but if you get desperate it's always an option

Hi Snickals. My friend here in SA saw them advertised in the Big W catalogue and by the time she got there at 9:30 on the first day, the costumes were sold out! I actually couldn't get any in Disney a few weeks ago either. I had no idea they were so hotly contested.

Haver you ever considered to make an Elsa costume at home? It's not that hard with a little sewing experience.

I know this quote is a few months old but I work at aforementioned retail store and we had angry customer upon angry customer about the frozen merch in the latest toy sale catalogue! I won't defend the company because I see where people are coming from but there is actually a world wide shortage of Frozen toys, as funny as that sounds. We only got a handful of items because that's all the supplier could provide and they were snapped up within seconds and no one knows when more will come in! Wish some customers could 'Let it go' so to speak ...
