Have you ever tried a chocolate egg cream? There's no egg in it. Not sure why it's called that. It's a north east coast, regional thing.
It's similar in ingredients to the frozen hot chocolate. I'd say put in about a quarter cup of the evaporated milk, or melted ice cream, a couple of huge squirts of the chocolate syrup, (adjust to taste,) then fill up the rest of the tall glass with cold seltzer or club soda. Stir slowly. It tastes like a chocolate ice cream soda or a chocolate float without the floating scoop of ice cream.
A vanilla egg cream tastes great, too. I make it with the same vanilla flavored syrup I get from Starbucks, to flavor my coffee.
