Frozen girls to Akershus?

They've never added Rapunzel despite her popularity. Granted she has never as popular as Anna and Elsa appear to me. They seem to keep the meals for the classic princesses. They haven't added Tiana although that is logistics due to her dress.

I think they'd be foolish not to eventually add them to Akershus. And raise Akershus to a 2 credit meal, and up the cash prices at the same time. I'm sure it would still sell out constantly, and become the toughest meal to get for a while. It would be a big money maker and go well with the theming.

Honestly, I think they would be smart to do a Frozen meal, like the Cinderella meal at 1900 park fare. They could do it in any park or any hotel, and instantly have a permanently sold out meal. (I would pay for it. I might even book another trip this year for it.)

The current mania for all things Frozen will not stay at the current heights, but the sisters are likely to stay popular. And when Disney does Frozen 2, you'll probably see another temporary surge in popularity.

Elsa would have to be stationary like Belle is at Akershus due to her dress. But I don't think they will do it.

Sadly, I wouldn't bank on it happening. Heck, I thought about doing an ADR for October in hopes that maybe they'd be there. But if they're not even in Epcot now, what's the chance of them actually going to Akershus from MK? None.

Will be much easier to cancel later than to add it in after the first rumor leaks IF they should decide to do it.

Disney watches these boards. A&E at Akershus is mentioned in every single thread I've read on the topic.

I don't think that anywhere in Norway currently has the capacity to deal with Frozen the way it is right now. I hope that they remodel first if they intend to move them back to Norway whether it's Akershus or not.

I'm considering a Sep trip with my DD and booked a few things, Akershus was unusually slim pickings so I think many families might be hoping!

I don't buy the gown excuse. We ate at Ariel's Grotto at DCA in December and both Tiana and Belle toured in their gowns just fine. And quarters were tight.

But no, for whatever reason, I don't think they will be added to Akershus.

Rapunzel sometimes make an appearance at CRT if one of the other Princesses aren't able to attend. Were the others there? Usually there is Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine.

I think it is stupid they do not add them to Akershus. It would be a huge money maker, they could charge 2 dining credits for it. Why they do not do it? I do not know. (And no it is not because they cannot find enough "friends" to play them, they can easily.) I think the decision makers are just out of touch with their guests and they do not realize how big this movie really is and its staying power...

I actually hope they don't add Anna and Elsa to Akershus. I like to keep the classic princesses there. I honestly can't see myself going there if those two are added. Don't get me from, I adore Frozen, but Anna and Elsa just aren't classic Disney to me. I also can't see myself paying for a separate meal with those two, either.

With 3 hour waits...they could add E&A to the worst restaurant in WDW and they would sell out every ADR instantly.

I honestly don't see them adding into Akershus anytime soon! Elsa's dress,wel, it's the cape that's the problem, and the fact that it probably is more difficult to wash/maintain quality wise, they would have more trouble with all those sticky messy hands & such.

As for them not being able to have enough "friends" it's 100% true, Disney has been casting the sisters Since Sept and we're still seeing the same friends over and over again. Elsa specifically has been difficult to cast! It also comes down to the fact that they need to fit many requirements, not JUST Elsa, say. The girl also has to hang out with some chipmunks, or Mickey's favourite pup, depending on her height. They need to have the right body height, frame, face, availability, they need to be able to have some movement skill, and some animation/miming skill, casting is a lengthy process. And if there's not need for chipmunks say, then they're going to pass over the girls in that height range simply because there isn't really the "room" for them in the pool.

Both Rapunzel & Merida have been seen at CRT, and Alice & Mary over at Akershus when someone isn't feeling too great. I also wouldn't expect Tiana to pop up because she literally only has 4 friends right now.

Maybe "Disney" was also reading these boards and saw that infamous thread from December "What is up with Frozen?" that questioned why the movie wasn't doing well...
