Frozen Fireworks and Attractions?

I have a quick question about the Frozen fireworks...

I seem to remember reading somewhere that because of fireworks shows in DHS some rides (like TSMM) need to close early so they can block off part of that street for safety reasons (or something like that). I have not been to DHS during any of the special holiday or SWW fireworks so this will be new for me :).

Is this true? If so, what time of day do they normally close? We currently have FPs for TSMM for 6:45-7:45 and wanted to make sure I do not need to adjust our plans. Thanks!!!

1. Can be true.

2. We don't know, for this event, if it will require the closure of attractions.

They would have to close the entrance to TSMM pretty early... if (IF) they needed to do so at all...
because it takes so long for the queue to empty of guests waiting to ride.

Or, once guests were inside the TSMM queue, they might have to wait INSIDE
the attraction building until after the fireworks show concluded.

It is certainly possible that the Frozen fireworks would not require that kind of closure.
We'll all find out in July.

Yes, when I was there for Star Wars weekends they closed TSMM and the Darth mall said that you would be unable to leave between 10 min before the fireworks till when they were over. Also note that a great place to see them is echo lake since the hat doesn't block them.

I believe you would get an email from Disney that says your FP will have to be changed if the ride is closed after you make your FP selection. That happened with a few people with the Ariel attraction. Something changed in the scheduled shows and the time they booked was eliminated. Disney notified them. Hopefully the same would happen in the case of a closure due to the fireworks.
