Frozen dining packages are up!!

I was also considering the WOC dessert party, but overall I think I'd rather wait in the WOC standby line at night and collect my FP with no pressure than have to rush to a long line first thing and then wait an hour in the sun to be seated at the Frozen show...

Also, since the total price of the package includes the pre-show and your priority seating, I don't think it would be correct to tip based on the 99.00 per person charge. I mean, is anyone going to tip the CM's at the pre-show based on their 49.00 per person charge?

I admit I'm biased towards tipping in general, maybe because working in food service, I've seen that everybody works hard, and only some servers are getting tips pushing their wages up to, in the above example, over 100.00 from one table...

Ok, I just cancelled my lunch reservation. Honestly, we are at Carthay Circle once before and didn't enjoy it that much. So I decided to just do the pre show instead on our last day. Ugh, I've totally blown out budget though since we are also doing the WOC dessert package and the Paint The Night dinner package. But honestly, with the heat, anything I can do to cut down on some of the lines and standing makes it worth it. I'll report back as we leave on June 27!

One thing I can recommend is instead of a PTN package to wait until after fireworks and grab a curb side seat near small world or Main Street for the SECOND parade. It seriously clears out and can be easy to nab a prime seat. Of course it's personal preference but wanted to provide another option :)

Well, I just booked the pre-show package, too. I thought the only "splurge" was going to be WOC Dessert Party, but I really hate the thought of waiting in massive, hot crowds to get into this show. I booked the Aladdin's PTN, so it's not too expensive, for our parade and fireworks viewing. DH doesn't really like to get caught in huge crowds, so I hope this helps. I can't wait to hear reviews of this, hope it's worth the cost. My teen DDs aren't into "Frozen" especially, but this trip is a first for us, and we probably won't be back anytime soon. When do the Frozen packages start?

It's probably too soon to tell, but does anyone know where the Priority Seating will be? I'm considering the Pre show option for $49, but I want to make sure the seats are worth it. Thanks! Can't wait to hear about others' experiences!!

I saw a reserved seating section in the middle back of the orchestra section on Friday, I wonder if that could be it? Weird thing was hardly anyone was in it, so I'm not sure what it was being used for at the time.

Hey Everyone!

I was curious so I called Disney Dining today. While some of my questions were answered with "I don't know/I'm not sure", I was able to get some more info on the $49 Pre Show Package.

The agent helping me let me know there are 250 spots for the 12:05 time and 150 spots for the 2:30 time. She also let me know that the seats are in the orchestra section, but near the front. I think I've read that a little further back in orchestra is best? I'm not sure how many rows it fills up, but either 250 or 150 peoples worth!

She also told me the package includes one beverage, with the option to purchase more.

Since I only have two days in the park, I want to maximize my time. The question I couldn't get an answer to was whether or not I could arrive late. I'm a bit nervous about committing 2 1/2 hours to one show since my time is limited. The agent just didn't know yet, since it's not actually up and running yet. She did say the cast members will be getting to do this soon so they can see what it's like to better help guests. We both agreed that maybe calling back once it's happened a few times might be worth it since my question could likely be answered at that time.

I'm still likely going to get it since based on what I've read, people with FastpPass still have to arrive about an hour before the show starts as well. So if I have to committ 2+ hours to the show anyways, I might as well get a glass of wine, a snow cone, and some cute Arendelle pictures too, right? ;)

Hope this helps anyone interested in the pre show package!

Hi everyone,

I did the Frozen pre-show and lunch on Saturday so I can answer some of the questions.

As for seating, they let us in the doors on the opposite side of the theater from the general admission and told us we could sit wherever we wanted.

The meal at Carthay Circle was delicious! I had the filet. It was great!! The sustainable fish was Sea Bass. I was really hoping for salmon so I got the steak instead. Here are the menus:

Here's a pic of the Olaf dessert:

However, they charged us $79 for my two year old nephew and I complained but our waitress told me that he needed to have his own seat in the theater and she could take the charge off the bill or take away his pass into the pre-show at Stage 17. I went ahead and paid the $79 for him, but at Stage 17 I didn't offer them his pass. I was going to wait to see if they asked for his. They didn't ask for his pass, but they gave him a lanyard so I went back to Carthay after and was able to get a refund for his ticket.

If anyone has other questions, let me know. :)

Hi- thanks for the review; the menu looks great; I may be changing my mind about the pre-show only. did you go directly from lunch to the pre-show? Was your pre-show group let into the theater before anyone else? another reviewer mentioned they let in the special needs groups (150 people) before them. Thanks!!

Hi,

The lunch was super delicious. I would recommend it. The badges for the people who have lunch are rectangle, but the badges for the pre-show only people are snowflake shaped. I really wanted the snowflake shaped one. Lol! That's the only reason I would do pre-show only. :)

We finished lunch around 1:50 and the said to be at stage 17 to check in at 2:15 so we wandered around for a bit. The shaved ice treats inside Stage 17 were awesome!! They also had fresh popped popcorn in there and a drink stand. Each person is given a ticket for one free drink. They had beer, wine, a delicious mango-apple sparkling cider (which you can have for free without giving up your drink ticket). The popcorn and shaved ice is unlimited, too.

The special needs group was already in the theater when they let us in, but they were seated in the very last row of the first section, so we really had access to any regular seat we wanted. We chose the first row of the second section and it was great a view.

I have a silly question about the lunch, but what is the dessert? I'm picky, and already not a big soup/salad person... The dessert could be a deciding factor for me :D

Hi,

The dessert was sort of like a double decker cream puff with chocolate sauce around it. The "snow" are bits of crushed up meringue. The "arms" are delicious raspberry flavored chocolate (or something like that LOL!). I couldn't bring myself to eat Olaf's head, but I imagine it's white chocolate. :)

Awesome! I really want to do this for my birthday in Sept. What time did you check in for lunch? Was it rushed to get in or out? I did the WOC dessert party and by the time we got seated we had like 10 mins before the show started and it was a little sad:(

I am posting this in all 3 frozen pre-show threads since I am not sure who, if anyone, will have the answer. :)

Someone mentioned that the pre-show only guests had different "tags" than the luncheon and pre-show guests. I am wondering if there was any designation between the different groups when going to the theater to get seats. To clarify, did the luncheon guests have the first opportunity to find seats before the pre-show only guests. I hope this makes sense.

We still haven't been to see Frozen yet and I am trying to gather all of the information before deciding what package to do. Thank you!!

From my understanding of the packages, people who do the lunch also get to go to the pre show event. So I would imagine from there everyone has the same advantage to get into the theatre first. When I called Disney dining when the packages were first released, the agent I spoke to told me that the 12:00 pre show has 250 spots and the 2:30 preshow has 150 spots. This makes me think the lunch package will go to the 12:30 pre show time.

But I haven't done either and don't know for sure. I signed up for just the pre show package for the later time. Hope this helps!

ETA: If you want to know for sure, I would call. When I call the cast members are always super friendly and helpful. I think they understand people put a lot of time into planning, and they will do everything they can to help find the answers for you. :)

Thanks for the info! I actually did call and didn't feel that the answer was correct, so I posted here. The CM said that the different packages each have a different section. Someone answered my question in another thread and said that everyone is mixed together and there is no advantage for a higher priced package.

Aw that's too bad about the wrong info. But I'm glad you were able to get the correct answer. I'm glad to know too, it's something I didn't even think of while I was planning! And since having first pick of seats is the primary reason for me getting the pre show package, I'm glad the lunchers won't get the real first pick!

So I have a weird question - I'm going solo on the next trip. Is it awkward to be a single adult in a pre-show lunch crowd?

Maybe we just lucked out but after we got our fast passes they told us to arrive 30 mins before the show and that is exactly what we did. We only waited outside for about 10 mins before they let us in. I didn't even have time to grab some of the snacks they were selling before we went inside. I would think fast passes are a must but reserved seating doesn't seem worth it for this one imo.

Interesting! When were you there?
