FROZEN Character Meals

If they can get to the Frozen attractions early by booking early breakfast, they'll book it and then just not show up, and pay the $10 pp. In that particular instance nobody is going to care how many cost increases and service cuts Akershus has. But it won't be surviving on early breakfasts alone...still, the place is usually mostly full for all meals, even without Frozen.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a new restaurant featuring the Frozen cast at some point in the future. Or possibly one featuring the new princesses (Anna, Elsa, Tiana, Rapunzel, Moana). Disney knows what it's cash cow is and that will always be the princesses.

But I've been suggesting a Pixar meal to them for years and their response is always, "We don't think there would be a lot of interest in it." Oh, but Winnie the Pooh can draw larger crowds?

Anna & Elsa aren't part of the Disney Princess franchise. For right now, Frozen remains its own franchise. That's why they don't mix for character meals or on floats or anything.

I would expect them to try to position Moana the same way.

That's why I said at some point in the future. It's practically a foregone conclusion that once the Frozen train stops churning so much, they will join the princess franchise. When that happens is anyone's guess - Beauty and the Beast and Lion King merchandise was huge for several years and that was before social media and largely before the internet as we know it today (not that they're not still popular today). Frozen still has some good years left as it's own category, but it won't last forever and they have a good thing going right now, so they're not going to complicate it by adding Anna and Elsa to the line-up just yet. I'm expecting Moana to follow Rapunzel and Tiana - popular, but Frozen was lightning in a bottle and a global phenomenon. That doesn't come along often.

I don't mind Pooh, but there is no way he is the 100% draw at Crystal Palace - people like eating in MK and getting into the park before rope drop, but if you had a Pixar meal vs. a Pooh meal, there would be no contest in popularity. That's strictly based on Buzz and Woody having hour+ long waits everyday and lines to meet Pooh are usually 20 minutes (and that was when we met all four in their Halloween costumes at MNSSHP, which is an even bigger draw).

Elsa is a reigning queen. Not sure she ever joins the princess line-up.

Not sure how hugging puppies works for the ruler.
