Frontier experience

So booking our flights and looking at all options. We live on a border city so driving to an American Airport is about 4-5 hrs. We can fly out of Flint to Santa Ana for Approx. $1400 return for 4 of us on Southwest or out of Detroit for approx. 1100 return for 4. Does anyone have experience flying on Frontier?

We have flown Frontier several times and they are fine. Though all is always fine until something goes wrong. Due to the limited number of flights that they usually fly, sometimes only one a day or one a week, if your flight is cancelled, you could wait days for your next flight because those other flights are full too.

Once I looked again...the schedule with Frontier would have us overnighting in Denver. Not an option so Southwest it is!
