Frontier Airlines pre-boarding for the disabled?

We are considering a last minute trip since I saw good fares on Frontier airlines. They charge extra to pick seats like Southwest does, but I'm wondering if they have pre-boarding for the disabled. We need to sit together due to my son's special needs, I hate to spend the extra if we don't need to.

Southwest doesn't have assigned seats, Early Bird Check In (I assume that's what you mean by SW charging extra to pick seats) just allows you a better boarding position.

Frontier DOES assign seats, so boarding early would just mean you could go to your assigned seat earlier than the rest of the passengers. Early boarding would not have anything to do with WHICH seat you were assigned to sit in. If you need to sit by your son, you need to have your seat assigned beside his. Paying to pick your seats would assure you could be together. Those who don't pay to choose seats get whatever seats are left at the end, which gives you no assurance you will be together.

You're right I forgot that the fee on Southwest is for early boarding not the seat assignment, Thank you Linda
