anyone else get in on the deal on Frontier -- 14.99 each way from DC today only?

I got two tickets and reserved our seats for $80 after tax!
now I get to plan an adults only October trip - but I don't have much to spent Since frontier charges so much for luggage I won't be bringing a suitcase of food, so I am wondering how the free dining works. Is it for the length of hotel stay or just for the number of days worth of tickets your purchase? How much is magical express? thinking we can stay on site and use the free dining for about the same price as staying off site and renting a car

I tried! Could never get checked out. I even had flights for 10.49 showing up but never got them submitted. I think the site crashed from overload

1- It's for the number of nights of your stay. You are required to buy at least a 2-day base ticket per person but you could buy a 2-day ticket and stay 14 nights and have free dining the whole time. You have to pay rack rate for the room.

2- It's completely free.

Congrats on getting the cheap tickets!

I looked at the cheaper flights but none were when my son is out of school. But a friend of mine was looking at getting her whole family of 5 to Vegas for a great deal!

We got our tickets yesterday!! 2 Adults 2 kids and 1 infant only $120 round trip! Woo hoo, we are so excited to start planning our Disney trip in October. It was such a great deal, we just couldn't pass it up. I'm am a little bummed about baggage costs but we will do what we can to pack light.

Wow, that is a great deal! Congrats to those of you able to snag it before the site crashed. :)

wow. do they offer these regularly? wondering when I can check on rates like this again.

We did :)

I got one-way to Orlando in September twice (there and then back a week later). Going to surprise my DD7 with a trip, she hasn't been since she was four!!!

Two one-way trips for two = $66 :cool1::cool1:

Tips aren't included.

Did you have to have a promo code or a link? I assume they are sold out at that price for my dates.......

This was a special promo that anyone could buy without a code etc.

When it went live, deal sites all over the web advertised it and the Frontier site was heavily overloaded and crashed numerous, numerous, numerous times during the day (did I say numerous enough).

People on one of the main travel boards I frequent were really going crazy about it, but few could actually make it through and get the deal.

Congrats to the OP on her score.

I have not checked, and you can certainly do it yourself, but I would assume there are no more of those fares available.

Frontier has moved into the ultra low-cost model. And, with that, they are moving into new markets. You may see a few more of these deals to publicize their expansion, but, again, odds of actually getting a ticket are a bit slim unless you happen to hit it right when they open it up.

For the most part, you will see Frontier at a 12 percent or so discount from the usual rates of other airlines from the same airport. The difference, is now that they charge for just about everything -- including carry-on bags, picking your own seat and most drinks and all food -- you can easily run your fare up more than 12 percent.

Also, seat pitches (ie--how much space you have) are also getting smaller, according to the rumor mill. I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED THIS>

When I flew them about a month ago, I thought the space was smaller -- and the flight attendant did say the plane had just been newly "outfitted." But I never did confirm my suspicion, so I can be all wrong about seating space.
