On my last trip, I found myself always asking, "Can I sit in the first row," on nearly every attraction. Do you, also find yourself asking this same question? I don't mean to be a snob or sound like a snob, but if the opportunity is there - I dont mind waiting until the next vehicle to sit in the first row. Sometimes, I find the castmembers get annoyed by this but that is the type of person I have come to be.

I just wanted to know if anyone else would like to admit there obsession with riding in the front row - because I know there are more people out there like me!

My name is Chris and I am a front row snob!:snooty:

I only ask for B1 on soarin. I find if I am in A or C I get a little motion sick.

Nope!

Although I do ask to wait for the front row for my first ride on Soarin' each visit! After that, I try to be polite, accept what comes my way, and let others have the opportunity to experience the best seats in the house! :)

Nope. I take whatever row I'm given. And in the case of some rides, like Splash Mountain, I'd actually prefer not to be in the first row. :)

The only attraction I know of that you don't want to be in the front row is BTMRR. On that ride you want to be in the very back. You get a better ride experience that way.

I don't like taking the extra time to wait in line just to be in the front row. I feel like I can ride more rides in a shorter amount of time if I just take what I can get.

Let me just say just because I like the front row, I am polite. I wait my turn, just like everyone else and wait even longer to sit in the front row. So, just because I like to sit in the front row doesn't mean I am not polite. I am, by all means polite and I allows others to go ahead of me in line when needed.

We sit very front-and-center in Fantasmic!

We arrive early enough to get the spot.

Yep....wettest row in the log! Know this from first-hand experience. I like the front row on Soarin'....I find the dangling feet of the other guests to be distracting when in the 2nd and 3rd rows.

Now I know why I don't visit the DIS boards as often as I might. Too many people are offended easily and create unnecessary arguments!

I really wasn't implying that you aren't polite! I was simply stating my preferences.

We only ask for the back row on roller coasters if it's not too crowded and the CMs don't look like they're all frazzled.

FASTER RIDE THAT WAY!

I never ask for the front row. I'd rather take what I get and get on more rides...but considering I've gone in the summer when it's super busy, I don't want to take up any more time than needed on one ride. :)

The only one I ask for the front is on Test Track. I have a bad knee and there's a little extra room in the front. Same thing for the cars at Rock 'n Roller Coaster.

I've learned that, in order to get the full experience of many ride effects, it's better to sit further back.

And in the case of some rides, like Splash Mountain, I'd actually prefer not to be in the first row.

LOL! I've found the absolute worst place on Splash Mountain to sit is right behind a little kid! The water goes right over their head and into my face--every time!

I don't see anything wrong with waiting for the front row.
And like you stated, you wait your turn.

I don't have to sit in the front rown on every ride.
Mainly, I like the front on the coasters, they are the best
and scariest :) :wizard:

I agree. I mean, I dont wait to sit in the front of like IASW. I meant the bigger rides - like Splash, Space, RNR, etc...

Now, I do not get or ask for the front on BTMR, I perfer the middle.

More important than front row, we've been asking for the bandit scenario on the Great Movie Ride (instead of the gangster scenario). That usually gets us front row seating.

I normally take whatever is given to me. This last trip though since lines were so short, sometimes we ended up in whole cars by ourselves so we each took a different row. The only time I ask for front row is on the monorail. I usually must do this at least one time a trip. After that I'll take first available place.

Um...huh?

I've been reading the Disboards for over a year to learn EVERY trick, tip and secret there is to know for my upcoming trip. How did this escape me? Is this to say there are 2 different rides inside "the Great Movie ride"? Do tell....

Yes you get two different scenerios, same ride but something different happends to you.
But if I told you what happends then it would completely ruin the ride for you. Have you ever rode it before?
