Front of the line worth renting a room?

Are the room keys personalized - if you don't use them for charging to the account, how would they know which key to deactivate?

Yes the room keys are personalized with the person's name and adult or child printed beside. You are only allowed two adults in a room before extra fees are charged.

Agree, save your money and arrive early. The parks are a ghost town during the day in October. Things start to pick up in the afternoon and everyone arrives for HHN. At night the place is a mob scene.
I love hearing this, thanks again :goodvibes
Taking family for their 1st trip to Universal (well 2nd for grandmother, her 1st was in May) .. early Oct, figured due to HHN it would be heavy crowds, but seems I was wrong - and glad I was. We're going to HHN once, arriving the 1st (since it won't be HHN on the 2nd) and leaving the 5th, hoping to get them to see everything at Universal. I went in February, crowds were decent, how do crowds compare to late Feb / early May to Oct? Both late Feb / early May were so-so crowd wise.

Hope to see you @ Universal maybe, calgarygary, but I don't think FOTL is worth renting an empty room, just my opinion though. The lines are bearable for the price it would cost.

Lots of advice to consider! Thanks everyone. We do arrive early but in our last trip in Nov. found that we couldn't get on the best rides as often as we wanted to in the p.m. Will HHN make the parks even busier in the afternoon? Finally, off topic, does anyone know when HHN tickets go on sale?
HHN tix should go on sale in late August, or early Sept, i think.
Not too much out there about HHN as of yets.

We're going ahead with the room. DW and I will probably need the rest break on the 2 universal days and figured the two oldest could use the room for a night of independance.

You are renting a room and not staying in it? Oh goodness...can I stay there! LOL

You really should spend some time there, the room at HRH was so nice and it was *this close* to the parks that it made it easy to take that 5min walk back to the room for a nice rest. :)

Have fun!

Harmony, we will be using the room as a rest place. My oldest girls will likely spend the night to enjoy the hotel and Citywalk.

How busy do you expect the last week of Oct to be? I know that this is not a value season for Disney. TIA

I might me wrong but I would suspect the end of Oct. to be busy esp. the 29 - 31 with HHN.
