From Yacht Club to POLY after Illuminations

We are lucky enough to be doing an Illuminations Fireworks cruise in June. Now I just need to figur the best way to get back to the POLY after the cruise. The boat will take us back to the dock at the yacht club. Should we (family of 4) get a taxi or use Disney trans.? If we should use a taxi how do we call one or will they call one for us at the bell stand at the yacht club? If we should use Dis. Trans. which bus(s)?

The Taxi by far will be the fastest and the Bell service will get it for you.
you can take the bus to Down Town Disney from any of the 3 resorts there if you wanted to wander for a while and then take the bus to Poly this will take at least an hour with short waits for the buses

i agree, the taxi would be the fastest.

But there are a few options using Disney transportation.

1. You could have the boat driver drop you off at the IG boat dock and you could walk through Epcot and take the Polynesian bus.

2. IF MGM IS STILL OPEN, have the boat driver drop you off at the MGM boat dock and take the Polynesian bus from there.(give him an extra tip )

One more option if MK is still open: take the YC bus to MK and then the resort monorail or launch back to the Polynesian.

Any idea what the cost of a taxi from the Yacht Club to the Poly might be?

Probably about $10-12 before tip.

If you decide on a taxi just walk out the main entrance of the Yacht Club. There will be a CM at a podium and he/she will get a taxi for you. Normally they are waiting outside all the Disney resorts. If need be the CM will call to get one for you right away. It's very convenient and easy. If you want to go directly back to the Poly this is the way to do it.

In my opinion $15 for a taxi that we don't have to wait for is a bargain!! Thank you wdwgoofeeee for letting me know that it will be quick and easy to get a taxi. I think this is what we will do. Thanks to all for all your help.
