Me too!! but it will be too sweet for me, no probs I will bring my own dry!

My dad drives me nuts watching it, I will tell him later, its his birthday today so best go see him.

We're big MotoGP fans too Lynne, hubby's fave is Valentino Rossi. We're also mad on F1 too, and can't wait for the new seasons to begin :thumbsup2

Lynne and Mandy,

My dh will be over the moon to know there are other racing fans on board.

I once had the opportunity to work in Lugano, Switzerland for a month. I contructed the trip so that we were able to go to Imola for GP racing, Monza for World Superbike racing and we landed in San Francisco to go Laguna Seca for World Superbike race round. :yay:

This could have been a contributing factor in the man choosing to marry me. :lmao:

Hi everyone,
…

(Siince I've been home, I've had an MRI, and I have a complete ligament tear ... basically a grade 3 sprain.... not fun. So, I'm in PT for 12 weeks now). …

I will say, I'm very thankful for trip insurance!!!!! That ER bill on the ship was not cheap! But, it was 100% covered by the trip insurance. And, I'm a very fit and athletic person, so me of all people never dreamt I'd injure myself on a cruise ship of all places, but you just never ever know!!

-Kathy

Kathy,
So sorry about your ankle. Not fun. Here's to "the third time's the charm!"

I totally agree with you about trip insurance. Everyone should have it! The first time I bought it was because I was going to Hawaii with a friend and she wanted it in case something came up with her husband, who had previously had a stroke. Guess who caused us to use the insurance … ME! One week before we were to leave, I had a detached retina and spent the next 10 days on my side in bed. We got all our money back, except for the cost of the insurance. Best $69 I ever spent!!!

Hello again fellow cruisers :)

I am trying to get through all 230+ pages (up to 100 so far!) so that I know who the heck everyone is, lol. So far there have been some interesting conversations and debates...for the record:

-I know NOTHING about sports, baseball included, I will root for whoever someone tells me to
-I grew up watching Star Trek with my dad, because of this (and my age) Picard is my fave...not to mention he is a wee sexy old thing ;)
-I love the Star Wars movies- though I am partial to the 4-6 episodes. On a more personal note, I am known as the movie maven to all who know me, I am a walking IMDB, regularly see 50-100 movies in the theaters a year (117 is my record in one year!), and have an extensive DVD collection comprised of movies form all decades and all genres :)
-I will someday work for Disney if it kills me
-This is technically my 3rd Disney cruise (took the Big Red Boat in July 94)
-I own cats...3 of them, but have found a recent appreciation for canines, and think your beagles are adorable :)

Ok, that's enough boring stuff rom me for now! Cheerio!

Holly

P.S. Very interested in the zip line discussions but as there are still 100 plus pages to go I will wait to see how things have changed.
Well, hello and cheerio Holly:goodvibes

:cool1: maybe we will see motor sport on the wonder?

Welcome new people!

Other than the Dry Erase board group, the general FE announcement is on hold until September, when the final payment is due and the group members are more stable. hmm, that doesn't sound right  - but you know what I mean - until there are fewer families coming and going.

Not that I can be considered as "stable" either. :lmao::rotfl2::confused3

What is "dry wipe board FE group"? This is the first time I've participated in a cruise meet group, so this is all new to me.

Thanks!!
Kathy

Kathy, I am putting the Dry Erase Board FE group together. PM me and I will explain it all to you. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share this (in a weird way, it's a funny story)....

The PC cruise will be my family's and my 3rd Disney cruise. We have the motto for this PC cruise "3rd time is a charm". The reason why is because on our first Disney cruise (last July 2009), my husband broke his foot the DAY before we left for our cruise, so he had a broken foot all during our cruise. We made the most of it, as there really isn't anything you can do about it.

So, when we booked our cruise that we just got back last week (Jan. 30 - Feb. 6), we were so excited to finally go on a Disney cruise without any injuries!!

We left for our Jan. 30 Disney cruise, we're all healthy, injury free... we were SO excited. But, believe it or not, on the half-way point of the cruise, (Wed. Feb. 3), I somehow missed a step going down the inside stairs of the ship (and I was wearing flip flops) completely twisted my foot, heard a "pop" in my foot.... and I ended up in the ship hospital for an hour! I didn't break a bone, but I tore a ligament in my foot! I must say, though, I was TOTALLY impressed by the ship doctor, and just the whole Disney staff. They were all completely amazing.

(Siince I've been home, I've had an MRI, and I have a complete ligament tear ... basically a grade 3 sprain.... not fun. So, I'm in PT for 12 weeks now).

So, we just couldn't believe it... first cruise, my DH breaks his foot day before, 2nd cruise, I tear a ligament in my foot ON our cruise.... SO we are hoping the saying, "3rd time is a charm" is TRUE for our PC cruise!!

For us, the PC cruise will be an injury free cruise!! :)

Ok, just had to share.... :)

My DH and I are laughing about all of this now... it is kind of ironic, huh?

-Kathy

Here's hoping that the 3rd time is the charm and you are all fine on this cruise since you will be having a great time. :cool1:

Does anyone know if Guest Services will be able to get our passports stamped in any or all of the ports on this cruise? I heard rumors that they could do that, but I gambled that I could do it on my own on my last Eastern cruise and I ended up not being able to find a place to get stamped in St. Martin, and I inquired about it at GS and they said they do that but that I would have had to have dropped off the passports by the night before. I was so bummed that I didn't ask them earlier until it was too late. So, I don't want to make the same mistake on this cruise! If anyone has done the passports at GS thing and can share advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Don't know if they will but would love to have ours done if they would. I have had several passports now and only had one stamped in Canada and that was only because I made a point to ask.

Hi Everyone! I was on this thread awhile back when the cruise first opened up, but I've been absent lately due to total chaos in my life ; ) With the holidays, and then WDW for New Years Eve, my first 7 night DCL cruise, and then we moved into a new home literally like the day we got home from the cruise on January 9. Oh and I'm now in my last semester of graduate school...so needless to say it has been a busy time! I'm so ready to get back onto this thread and to get to know you all more!

Did I miss any big announcements? Anything that I should be signing up for like tshirts, Fish Extenders, magnets, meets, etc, or are we doing that later this year? Just want to make sure I'm up to speed. Thanks and looking forward to talking to you all much more!

-Nicole

WELCOME BACK Nicole!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone. After reading many many pages and following along I realized that I had not chimed in and said we will be joining you. My DH and I did one Disney Cruise in late 2008 and he always wanted to see the Panama Canal so we booked when it first came available. I can't wait until its time to go.

WELCOME aubs42!!!!!!!!!

Candy and I would also like to check into this. Let us know if someone knows how this could be done. Thanks

LindaBabe and Parumpgirl- regarding the passports, I felt the same way on my last cruise, that I was curious but not sure if they did. I asked the question on the main DCL forum and got a few people that said they "heard" that Guest Services did it, but nothing really concrete, which is why I gambled and took my passport with me hoping that I could get it myself, but had no such luck. I am hoping this time that someone on our thread here, or someone on the main thread if I ask there again, will be able to confirm if GS does it or not. But I already missed out the other way, so I think on this trip I will just leave it with GS and hope for the best, I would love to get stamps from all of those ports!

I now am an even firmer believer that everyone should have trip insurance. The only reason we got it for the Disney Eastern Magic cruise we did last week is because it was Janaury, which is flu season, and having a 7 & 9 year old, you just never know when or if they'll pick up the flu bug (even though I am always making them wash their hands, etc). I never in a million years dreamt we'd use the insurance on me. HAHA!!

Disney was great, though... the day I had my "incident" was when we docked at St. Thomas, and I got this injury as we were heading downstairs to get off the ship on St. Thomas to head out on our shore excursion. Needless to say, we never did get off this ship, and we missed our shore excursion. But, Disney refunded our shore excursion for everyone in our family 100%.

Anyway, the good news is that we still were able to really enjoy the rest of the trip despite this happened in the middle of our trip. I mean, here we were in the Caribbean, on a Disney Cruise, where it's 80 degrees.... how could we NOT have enjoyed the trip after this happened. ;) it's amazing how being on a Disney cruise just makes you so happy no matter what!

The only thing I was bummed about is my husband and I were going to run the 5K they do at Castaway Cay in the morning the last full day of our trip.... I obviously could not do it, and I was looking so forward to it! But, my husband was able to do it, and so that was good. Next year for the PC cruise... Castaway Cay is our first stop, so hopefully i can keep myself injury free for 24 hours on the Wonder to do the 5K at Castaway Cay on Jan. 7! hahahaha!!! :thumbsup2 (ok, so hopefully everyone in our family can keep ourselves injury free for the full 15 days!!:cool1:)

Hello again!

I literally just finished reading all 140 pages. It is now 3:15am in NH and I am having trouble keeping my eyes open! Just wanted to stop in one last time "today" and throw my two cents in on a few previous topics:

Palo- love, love, love it!! Actually got to go 3 times on our 7 day :) 2 lunches and one dinner if I recall...and here is the fun fact...we were on late seating so I made our dinner ressie for 6pm so that we could eat at Palo and then eat AGAIN at dinner, haha! I love food :) Unfortunately, by the time I sat down at dinner I was stuffed, but my husband (all 150lbs of him) managed to throw down another ENTIRE meal. I was so proud
Southwest- BEST. AIRLINE. EVER. Hands down! If I can't fly them I throw a tantrum, lol. The only other airline that I will consider is Jetblue. Case in point, I am supposed to go to a wedding in GA in May, can't get a flight on SW or JB so I am not going! Not worth the ridiculous cost and hassle IMHO.

Ok, I can't type anymore, falling asleep. TGIF to all :)

I can't wait for the F1 season to start. I love Michael Schumacher, so I think it's going to be an exciting season with Jenson, Lewis and Schuey ~ bring it on !!

Rossi cracks me up, he is so full of himself, but you can't help loving him :thumbsup2

I dont really like shumi, I think he is a cheat, never forgive him for runnning damon of the track.
JPM was and is my fav, love him:lovestruc
I also loved Villneave, actually, its not as good as it used to be, but I think thats why I am more into gp now.VR, he is just so bold, he has a lot of the other naught word that starts with b, and his off track antics are just hilarious.
Ok, Im rambling away to bed after nightsshift.

LOL, now thats why I loved Schuey, I was never a fan of Damon Hill :rotfl: Nigel Mansell was my fave Brit till Lewis Hamilton came along and Jenson finally got a decent car. JPM ? Montoya ? Yeah he was good :thumbsup2

Katherine ~ It's great to meet more motor racing fans :thumbsup2

Is anyone doing anything fun this weekend ? It looks like hubby is going to have to work for a lot of the weekend as he's got a big meeting on Monday, so I will be looking forward to Lost, the 6 Nations and 24

We don't 'do' Valentines Day, so I won't have to worry about gaining any extra pounds due to all those chocs

Have a great Valentine's weekend everyone

I must be the only person who doesn't like Southwest. I can't stand the cattle call for seats (it is better with online check-in but still unnecessary IMHO). JetBlue I love however.

Ive never been with south west, most of our low cost airline are a free for all to get seats, really doesnt bother me, I am always pretty sure we will get seats together, if not, no worries, but we always have so I dont get worried and always go on last, as long as there is a seat for me I dont care, BUT>>>> I dont have kids and would guess it would be differant woth kids, although Ive seen other move as I would to let folks sit together.
Now JET BLUE, we had a great flight with them last time in the states, we got drinks, snacks, tellys,on time, for very reasonable price and great staff.

Holly,

:worship::worship::worship: Wow, reading all those pages!!!

Glad to have another Palo friend:banana: I think there will be plenty open ressie to be had, based on the previous comments:woohoo: Your husband should get a foodie medal for that double dinner takedown:rotfl2:

Your comment on the GA wedding, I can't stop laughing:rotfl:I've flown into Alabama and driven to Atlanta for a client before, just to not deal with Hartsfield. Looks like there will be quite a few of us at the Southwest gates for this cruise :grouphug::grouphug:

If anyone needs Southwest drink coupons, send me a PM!;)

Okay, second measurable snow in 41 years! Unbelievable! People move to Louisiana to get away from the snow!!

It won't last long as our temps are suppose to get up to the 40's.

Welcome to all the newcomers and HAPPY FRIDAY to all!!!

I'm hoping we see the sun today. I totally could not live somewhere where the sun didn't shine very often. It's really bringing my mood down.

To all those with snow, please be careful. I know that there are parts of the country expecting snow that very seldom get it. I used to live north of DFW and still have family and friends up there. It snowed all day there yesterday!!! My BFF was giving me updates all day yesterday and I'm waiting her call this morning with totals.
