Stay dry in CA. We have kids in SD. Hope they are doing okay.

it will be hard to stay dry. Over the next two days they are saying 3-5 inches and maybe more. They say we could get the most rain in a 48 hour period in the last 20 years. It is to be very bad for our burn areas.

Yes, we got them for the 2008 PC cruise. I use them whenever we travel but DH doesn't. I like to be organized, though. I pack undies in one, tops, shorts, etc. It is nice to pull a cube out and know what is in it, especially if you don't fully unpack.

What is a packing cube?:confused3 Does it take the place of the suitcase or does it go in the suitcase?

My husband says we are going from the Red neck Riveria ( panama city Florida) to the Mexican riveria

I know the Wonder normally does not have it but for the PC will they do a character breakfast?

I hope so. I would guess that they don't normally do it for the Wonder as they are shorter cruises and therefore harder to get the Character Breakfasts in (I think they are only held on sea days)

Does anyone know what the dining rotations where on the previous PC (west) cruises? Wondering if it is worth requesting a specific rotation (like PLAPLAP on the Magic Eastern) to put you into the formal restaurants on formal night etc, or maybe it doesn't work like that on the PC cruises.

That small print will get you every time!

I hope you all had a grand day in Cabo today ;) - I worked really hard keeping DH away from the tequilla so I need to go put my feet up somewhere.

Take care and enjoy your evening! Stay dry those of you out west - I will take my snow.

Gail,

I am a cold wimp! "Freezing" to me is anything lower than 70. I've been known to wear my jacket and gloves in the house when it's 50 degrees outside.

I'm trapped at home with two sick kids today, which explains my constant posting.

Good morning cruisers.. or afternoon..

Well cruisers..we have reached our last sea day :sad2: .. the temperature outside is 68 degrees...

Today is the big bingo game.. and your last chance to pick up some Disney merchandise!

Remember.. there will be a talk on disembarcation...emjoy your day!

I hope they feel better! My DD has a little something as well..I am hoping she gets over it quickly..I was hopping to go to the park for a little while tomorrow to celebrate my birthday... will have to see how the weather holds out!

We loved our rotation as we were in the formal restaurants on formal night etc.. we were in Parrot Cay for Pirate Night... but it was just luck..we were not allowed to request anything special..still..I am hoping for it again..it felt nice to be dressed up in formals in the formal restaurant. Although I know now everyone of course got that...

In the midst of rain, we had hail. Weird! Now just lots of thunder and lightning.

I keep telling myself "we need the rain, we need the rain"

Oops, here's more hail.

Anyway, If you haven't seen it, there's more info on the new Hawaii property

(I know people here were chatting about it recently)

When it comes to the dining rotation, honestly we could care less. We will get dressed up on the formal and semi- formal nights but change back into shorts and t-shirts after dinner. So if I am in Anamators, or Parrot Cay for a more formal night and not Tritons, I don't care. The menu will be the same in all three rooms. So I get the same good food no matter were I am eating.

I hope they get better right quick. I have had a hacking cough since before Christmas that is just now getting better - or less frequent anyway.

Funny how I feel bad that it is time to get off - when I have not even gotten ON yet. Thanks so much for doing these, I have enjoyed them.

And another get well quick to your DD. Sick is just no fun for anyone.

Well, we had sunshine all day today so even though it is in the 20's, I am sure the snow has evaporated (or wherever it goes) too. I can not believe the pictures I saw on the Weather Channel this morning from CA. Blessings to all of you - be safe and dry.

I thought it was just me! As I wrote the last weather post today..I was a little sad! :sad1: I realized..how funny! I haven't even got on on the ship yet! :rotfl2:

I know..I keep telling myself we need the rain... we haven't had a lot of thunder andlightning but after the storm yesterday..I could use a little sunshine..they say our area here is supposed to get 3-4 inches in the next 36hours or so...I am trying to get hubby to work from home tomorrow so he doesn't have to commute in to work in the storm.. it takes him long enough to get there is sunny weather!

I, too, am chatting "but we need the rain, we need the rain"

But we CA'ers aren't really used to this type of activity and I, for one, don't really like day after day of grayness.

BLECH.

Been looking at formal night dresses for my girls. And wondering how long I will have that "the world still feels like I am moving on a cruise ship" feeling after 15 days onboard!:thumbsup2

Can you tell I'm bored today :rotfl: Can't go out.. the phones are quiet... I guess my clients aren't looking for vacation today... don't blame them..I just want to stay wrapped up in a blanket!

I have been looking at formals for my DD too.. she is growing so quickly that we have decided to put it off under the summer when she will need one for our July cruise. She grew an inch and a half between Sept. and Nov this year.

I like the packing cubes...will have to consider those...Does anyone know where the best place to buy them is? As far as the best price?

Woo hoo! Post 3000! :cheer2::cheer2:

Just signed my DD up with an account so she could post on the tween/teen thread...she is very excited to do so!
