From WDW To DL With Love - January 06, 2011

I'm using up my words on my next two cruises: BTB 14-night EB TA and 11-Night Med. We're working on the theme and logo. That's right - 102 days from pulling up anchor and we are about to vote. And this PC cruise voted over a year in advance.

In actuality, they had a theme and then several of the originators of the thread disappeared - without any notice that I could find.

I didn't like their theme, anyway, so the people who have come along and are now paid in full are having the chance to pick a theme.

Did I say I was using up my words?

I'm drowning in work and Jeff is at camp this week. Yes camp. Umpire camp... my husband is a man of many hats/ tricks depending on how you look at it

FYI - My local COSTCO has Hyatt Gift card packs - two $50 cards for $80.

Don't you just love those that 'disappear' - although I didn't appear until after our B2B, I try to stay caught up and pipe in once and awhile. Life sometimes does get in the way of DISing but with me anyway, not typically for very long.

Busy keeps them out of trouble - or helps anyway . Mine is at camp too - Boy Scout camp, he will never grow up.

Have a grand day everyone. Linda - how is the Chihuly scrapbook coming? Did you post any pics anywhere - I would love to see. I put all my tools away when we got home after doing all cardboards - wore me out but I will say that David punched many of those little sticker do-dads. Once the tree comes down, I will be able to get more organized and get cracking on doing a book.

Yep, a lot of people had cancelled that cruise. I know Monica and I only had our reservation for a couple of months when we had to cancel. And the thread starter hasn't ever booked it, only wanted to. Is she still posting? I bet not, as most of her friends have cancelled.



I became a great aunt again today. The first male child in 59 years in our family!!! AND he was born on my brothers birthday. Nice birthday present Grandpa Paul. And congrats to Grandma Pam, my cabin-mate for this cruise.

Have had a few days off. My Mom came to visit us. It was her first Christmas without my step Dad. So she came down to see us for a few days. Nice to have some days off. I am now going back to work with a cold and have 9 days to get rid of it before we are going on the Carnival Dream. I still have no cabin though! We had a Barnes gift card so hubby bough the PC book for me. I am not going to read it until next Dec.

For those DVC's out there/ Are you planning on doing the GCH after the cruise? I know the points will be high since it is the weekend. Are you going to use them or do a cash only or book elsewhere?

Busy is good. Gail, thanks for asking about the album. Poor Chihuly's on hold until February. I did 7 pages in it on the cruise and then put him aside to work on the album OF the cruises.

That's complete (60+pages) and shipped off to Florida to share with our friends from the first cruise and FivePin, our tablemate on the second cruise. On the positive side, for Christmas, I received a packet of Chihuly post cards, two DVDs - one on the exhibition we saw and one on the hot shop, and a packet of note cards, so my titles will be correct at least. OH and some friends sent three great snapshots of the chandelier on the Wonder.

We'll stay Fri & Sat nights on points unless a really good AP rate comes out. I think we'll have another couple with us on the cruise so we'll treat them for those two nights and get two studios.

I will be going to my appament about 2 min from LAX after the cruise. Maybe after I unpack and stuff I might go to Disneyland.

We are having freezing fog (weatherman's terminology, not mine) now - fine on the roads that are now bare but on those that are snowcovered makes things pretty slippery.

Anyone else getting anxious to the see the 1 year or less in their ticker. One year is still a LONG time and a lot can happen, but I am still excited. You know when I say it is a LONG time, a part of me inside says its only a year and you have ALOT to do. Usually I only have a month or two to plan everything out.

I am starting to think about flights, hotel, and transportation again. I started looking when I first booked but I was too early for a lot of the options.

I am excited as well. We are doing the Crown Princess for Christmas (12/23-30) and then we will get on the Wonder the following week. I have fingers crossed I can swing staying in Florida and not having to come home at all - it would save me a roundtrip flight - two if you count DH so I am sure we should be able to find someplace. I have begun looking at Cruise Critic for excursion/activity ideas but just can't get my brain around it yet.
