Thanks for doing this Jeff!
ATTENTION:
Please be advised that after I return from vacation, I will be removing the fellow cruisers list from page one, post 1. The link to the website page will be the only thing informational on post #1.

Please send your information to tigfanjeff so that he can add you to the website.

Thanks and have a good weekend!

No problem. The biggest thing for me, and why I'm not straight copying from the first post, is to ensure that the list is accurate. I know a lot of people were very fluid about whether or not they would be going.

I've gotten the deck plans page up, which just leaves the calendar page from the original plan.

I need to integrate the fish extender information and the secret mickey information into the page at some point, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Sending my dh to do it on our cruise next month - several other men and boys going too, but the women are NOT.

DH and I did the DCL zip-line on the 2008 WB PC Cruise. It was his idea and I had my doubts clear up to after the first zip-line. I  it. The ramps around the trees were a little nerve racking since they have holes in them and aren't real wide but you are well tethered to the tree and safety is a very important matter to the company. The zip-lining itself was amazing. Haven't decided if we will do it again or not. Would like to but would like to take a city tour also. The ones who did this had some amazing pictures, too. Oh yeah, I was 61 at the time of doing this the first time.

Just want to say Happy Friday everyone and hope that everyone has a great weekend. :)

So far, the coolest part of the list is watching all the little markers show up on the map as we add people.

I plan to do the same with the ship map soon, but for now its kind of static.

I'm also surprised we already have two groups in sideways inside staterooms.

Happy Friday all!

Going to Disneyland tomorrow night to surprise a friend for his B-day (there's a group of us ambushing) and pick up Halloween supplies. :cool1:

I love how the site is coming together. We definitely have the two coasts represented well!

Yes, DCL put it on the itineraries as Punta Arenas. The website for DCL however has it correct.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puntarenas - Costa Rica - Where we are going

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punta_Arenas - Chile - Where, barring the installation of a massive jet propulsion system on the ship, we are not going.

I stand by Douglas Adams on this one.

"[Life] will even live in New York, though it's hard to know why. In the winter time the temperature falls well below the legal minimum, or rather it would do if anybody had the common sense to set a legal minimum. The last time anybody made a list of the top hundred character attributes of New Yorkers, common sense snuck in at number 79.

In the summer it's too darn hot. It's one thing to be the sort of life form that thrives on heat and finds, as the Frastrans do, that the temperature range between 40,000 and 40,004 is very equable, but it's quite another to be the sort of animal that has to wrap itself up in lots of other animals at one point in your planet's orbit, and then find, half an orbit later, that your skin's bubbling.

Spring is over-rated. A lot of the inhabitants of New York will honk on mightily about the pleasures of spring, but if they actually knew the first thing about the pleasures of spring they would know of at least five thousand nine hundred and eighty-three better places to spend it than New York, and that's just on the same latitude.

Fall, though, is the worst. Few things are worse than fall in New York. Some of the things that live in the lower intestines of rats would disagree, but most of the things that live in the lower intestines of rats are highly disagreeable anyway, so their opinion can and should be discounted. When it's fall in New York, the air smells as if someone's been frying goats in it, and if you are keen to breathe, the best plan is to open a window and stick your head in a building. "

EWWWWWWWWW!!! Why so mean about New York? Some of us DO live there!!!!

You'd have to ask Douglas Adams that, I just quoted him.

It's still my favorite city in the world, but he is pretty close on the shortcomings of NY. Of course, no place compares to the culture, cuisine, transportation, nightlife, atmosphere and just general zeal for life like New York. How many cities have so many different types of Restaurants? I've eaten in Italian places that would put 99% of the restaurants in Rome to shame. I've eaten at a restaurant that specializes in Peanut Butter. I've had Australian that was better than anything I actually ate in Australia (well, close at least, Xenbu was pretty good when I was in Darling Harbor). In one 24 hour period I've visited a tall ship, the concorde, a submarine, an air craft carrier, a world class history museum and a world class art museum and STILL only covered less than 10% of the surface area of the city, and in fact, probably a lot less then that. There is no where in the world like that.

The only place I've heard that can even compare to New York is Tokyo, but having never been there, I can't confirm/deny.

I've always said that the biggest problem with Los Angeles is that it isn't New York, but it wishes it was.

And yes, I know that New York doesn't stop at Yonkers. I've been all over the state. I *HIGHLY* recommend the finger lakes region at any time of the year (Though Syracuse is disappointing).

West Coast good morning to you all. :wave2: I am glad Friday is here. DH is blowing off the roof tomorrow in preparation for our first big rain of the fall. That equates to I am getting out of the house and doing some scrapbook (DISNEY, of course) shopping. I have some ideas for projects for upcoming cruise and it is never to early to start loading up on supplies, etc. I may be able to enlist my girlfriend who is now cruising with us to help put something together. We did a halloween autograph book as a class once and it was crazy cute. I know we will come up with some ideas. Two heads are better than one so input please all you scrapbookers:yay::yay:

My son who is recently back from his year and a half army medical training is seeking his first job in radiology. He is in the reserves so that means he is gone one weekend a month. He hopes to get an oncall swing shift position. I am hoping he can come on this cruise and get the military discount. Does anyone know the particulars?:confused3 I heard its a big discount.

Since I am honestly planning a vow renewal, it would be nice to have as many of our four sons onboard as possible. Who knows where and what they will be doing then. I should probably snag an inside cabin just in case, right.

Shoshie--have a good time at mouse house.

Shussh--My husband and son are flying to Sydney next month and visiting your beautiful country. They will be there for a week. DH wanted to know what three things in Sydney woud you say for him not to miss? THANKS.

Well as an Angelino I can tell you I hope we never become lime NYC. You are right the state is beautiful. I hate NYC. My dads half of the family is there and I will never go back. I am feed up with the place. Just like with any city it has it's good side. The people, are the reason I will not be returning. I know not everyone in NYC is rude, but a magority of the people I have encountered are way more rude than people here. I am sure the people here are great people. Again understand I am talking about people I have encountered in NYC I never plan on returning. Becieds we have way better weather.

Oh, I won't disagree about New York being one of the ruder cities in the world, but that stems from the fast paced nature of life there. New York is the ultimate example of time is money living. It works for some, and doesn't for others.

Los Angeles might have better weather then NY, but San Diego is far better then LA. I still can't wrap my head around a weather forecast that starts with a smog report (Though LA has gotten a LOT better over the last 10 years). LA does have Disneyland though.

I can't go agenst you on that one. I love San Diego. Our smog has gotten way better. I live by the beach right near LAX in Westchester. We hardly ever have anything but good air quality. I might even concider a move to San Diego, but I don't think I want to be two hours from Dodger Stadium and Stapels center home of the LAKERS. And Disneyland is a little more than an hour away. Oh that reminds me it is about tome to pick up DW and off to Disneyland.

Anyone have a clue as to what the dining rotations will be in reference to the themed nights/ formal nights?
Trying to remember back to 05 and the nights. I know we had 2 formal, 2 semiformal, a tropical, and a pirate night... anything else?

I pulled up the 2008 DCL Panama Cruise. This was the order:
Night 1: Casual
Night 2: Casual
Night 3: Formal
Night 4: Casual
Night 5: Casual
Night 6: Casual
Night 7: Semi-formal
Night 8: Casual
Night 9: Casual
Night 10: Casual
Night 11: Casual
Night 12: Casual or Pirate
Night 13: Formal
Night 14: Casual

We have one more night than they did.
