Too many shoes, not enough kgs

Sounds like me . When DD and I went to CA a few years ago, we had an entire bag of shoes, and she was only 4! I am such an overpacker on everything! DD is not into clothes and shoes yet, and I just can't imagine our packing situation when she is.

I'm packing!!! Off to the airport tomorrow and fly out to Orlando on Monday!!! Cruising on the Magic just 2 weeks from today - can't hardly believe it!!!

I got the Costco rate at the Hyatt that somebody suggested $119 and I went with US Air 1st class (no baggage fee). My husband is extremely clautrophobic and plane phobic so I figured he could use the extra space. Plus I plan on slipping him a couple of valium, lol. He also has a bad back, can you tell I'm trying to justify the cost of 1st class??? ha ha at least it's only 1 way. We plan to rent a car in CA and drive back to AZ.

We will get to fly out of our brand new airport. SW has a direct flight just barely an hour. Can't wait till they post the dates.

After so many pages (I think it's 250), a thread is locked and no one will be able to post on it. A new one will have to be started.

THanks for keeping us updated. We fly SWA and while I don't like having to wait for schedules to open up, I have yet to have a flight changed by them, unless it's a last minute maintenance or weather issue. I hear too many stories of other airlines changing schedules and moving people to other flights, not just once but sometimes twice. Also, can't beat the 2 free bags (please don't change that SWA) and the prices are usually the lowest for us.

Well it does not look like our bags fly free will end anytime soon to be honest. Our CEO has stated it has won us to many passengers and if it changes the drop off could be really bad for our profits. So I don't think it will change anytime soon.
It has happened to us as well. When I look at our Schedual planing department page is will say if a change to the schedual needs to have people reaccomodated. There is one change in May that I know this happened but I am not sure what it was excatly. Lexi, trust me when I say we are ver happy to be the ignargural flight in and out of your new airport ( the code is ECP for those that wanted to know). Right now I know service to there from LAX will require a change of planes, but yes MCO is one of the four non stop destinations.

Thank you. Everytime I see that here it makes me glad that I work for such a admired company. I know we are not perfect and have flaws but still coments like that make me proud. Believe it or not even the comlaints are cool. Bad press, as they say, is better than no press.

I'll have a free Southwest flight that I can use so I'll be taking the best flight back to Dulles from Orange County. Not gonna waste a free flight flying from DC to Florida. Those'll be cheap.

I also reserved a SUV from Budget for January to get to the port, that way we can stop on the way to pick up a few beverages. It's cheaper for the four of us than DCL transfers and we'll have it for the night before in case we decide to run around.

This past Christmas my DH gave me Pirates of the Caribbean themed monopoly game. My family spent this cool, wet day playing monopoly, with P3 (that’s Pirates of the Caribbean 3) in the background.

We explained the rules to my 6 yo once, and it turns out he is the best capitalist in the family. He always owns the most property and has figured out the “art of the deal” intuitively, knowing that I have an unnatural affection for the ships, outside of all pure economic benefit.

He knowingly gathers them to trade me later for pieces that fill out his monopoly positions, and then he puts up docks left, right and center. Soon every roll of the dice is met by groans as we realize we will be paying him rent money.

It’s uncanny.

Southwest is my favorite airline!!! My DD loves using the Companion Pass and going on fun girls-only weekend. It makes it easy to say yes to a weekend in Chicago for pizza -- Houston has NO deep dish pizza restaurants, so windy city via HOU-MDW rocks! Yes, my work takes me around the country -- a LOT -- and Southwest has the best schedules and prices

We flew another airline to Alaska last summer, not my choice but couldn't thumb a ride from Seattle to Anchorage...the seats were awful, flight attendants rude, and I paid to have my luggage damaged...yes, I did write to the company, so far no response!

So Budget has their January schedule up! I looked about a week ago and they were only booking through Dec. We will have to get a minivan since we'll have a lot of luggage or we may take advantage of Disney's luggage transfer (read about that on another thread and supposedly it's not widely known about) and just get a full size. We also plan on stopping and getting beverages.

That's a great plan. When I was in customer service at the airport I always wanted to make fun of the people using the Rapid Reward tickets to go to Vegas from L.A. What a waste of a free ticket. They should be used for cross country flights in my opinion. Also you may want to look at going out of BWI rather than IAD. While you can get the Non stop to MCO from IAD, from SNA you ate most likely looking at a change of planes. From LAX we are getting back our BWI non stop. Just a thought. It may not work for you but thought I would throw it out there.
