From WDW to DL With Love - January 06, 2011 part 5

Lynne, sorry your mum and dad are poorly. I hope they soon feel better. We are still well and enjoying our stay in San Diego. What. Great place. P,us we are still having the unseasonably great weather. We will need to come back to see all there is here though.

Soon be checking in online for our flight over to Orlando before setting out again.

Hope all you sick folk out there feel better very soon.

Poor mum seen NONE od Ca except inside her bedroom and toilet bowl, sorry tmi
She is better, now its dads thats yukky.
Glad you and John are good, let us know when you arrive safe x

I put them in the drawer and never touched them, 250 bucks if I loose one of them:scared1:

ditto for me! Our friend had one in his pocket and forgot and went into the pool. Cha-ching! Not sure if they did have to pay but the phone was no longer working.

We had a wonderful time and both came home sickness free! We spent 4 glorious days at Disneyland and got to stay in the Dream Tower - wow what a treat. The bathroom was almost as big as our cabin :rotfl2:

My count down begins for the Alaska inaugural cruise. I had a session with Ducky and he said the litho for that cruise will have Mickey and Koda bear in it. I have also had a peek at the pins and they look great. I hope they have a better system by then, I hate wasting my cruise time standing in line.

We had great servers at dinner and our room host was the best. He was the CM that played the guitar and sang at the crew show. I thought the food was the best I have had on a Disney cruise so far. I did miss the little bags of chips that used to sit in a basket on the counter at Pinocchio's.

All in all I have no complaints, it was wonderful and I would do it again in a heart beat.

Count me in as one of the sick..I have been sick for a week ago...not sure what happened but I was the only one to get it.

Hope everyone feels better soon!

I never worried about losing mine as it never left the ship.

:rotfl2: You never did meet me Alan did you?:lmao:
Seriously, I would loose it in the cabin never mind the ship, not the first fone Ive had that went down the loo from my jeans pocket.

How many Alsaka pins will there be. I have a friend on the same cruise and I know they will get me a set.

Nope we never meet. When I went to the pool my phone was always hand carried to make sure it was not in my pocket. I really loved these phones.

There is a picture of them in my blog, just remember these were artist concept from last August. It looks like there will be one for each port including Vancouver and then 3 that are just Alaska. You will need to scroll down through the blog to see the picture. ( I hope it's ok to post the link)

I remember seeing a preview of them at Trade City, last year's pin event, and I know there was one for each Alaskan port city (3), but I can't remember if there was one for Vancouver. And I'm almost certain there was a logo pin. So at the most 4 or 5 pins I would say.

Cool thanks. Looks like 8 pins. I too hope they make it easier to obtain the pins. I hope so as I know my friend will not want to wait in pin lines all cruise.

Corinna - It was a delight to meet you on this trip. Did you get the LA pin that last morning? If not, I have an extra. Just let me know.

Val

Yes, I did. I missed being able to purchase one by about 30 people or so, but one of our table mates gave me one as a present. So I have the full set.

I have to say, the service we got on this cruise was by far the best ever. Our asst. server (Jorge) at times was a little slow, but he'd only been on the ship a month when the cruise started. And by the second week he was better and much more personable. Our server (Daniel), who'd only been on the ship 3 months, was phenomenal!!! Our kids fell in love with him and insisted on going wherever he was for breakfast and lunch most days. And we got close to a server (Terry) 2 stations down from our dinner table, too, because we kept seeing him at the buffets. DD, who's all of 3 1/2 years old, has decided that both Daniel and Terry are her boyfriends now. She even got upset as the plane was landing on Sunday because we "forgot" to bring them home with us. Yeah, I wanted to bring them home, too. I'm not liking this having to cook and set the table myself.

We had Jorge and Daniel as well and they were fantastic. Daniel actually is from our home town. I did never really warm to our headserver though. I supposed we have been spoiled by Yolande.

I went to Urgent Care Tuesday. Got med yesterday & feel better today. Ryan is fine. I am working on photos. Anyone know where we can buy Enchanted Rose champagne? Having withdrawal!!! Miss all of you & the knock on the door "house keeping"! They forgot to come home with me along with the Vista Spa staff!!!:rotfl:

I loved the Magical Rose as well and have tried to find it, but so far know luck. I did notice though that the same winery makes a Brachetto d'Acqui as well. I might have to try to source this as I love the Rosa Regale and would love to try their version.

I noticed that our pins changed quite a bit from the artist impressions. I like the pins, but I think I slightly prefer the version in the artist impression.

I got sick on the ship as well, but I am back to normal. Graham got sick on the flight home and he is still struggling. Apart from the heavy cold with chest congestion, he also has an eye infection. Poor thing!

oh gosh i agree with alan - man they were never out of our hands. though i hated that thhey didnt ring, only vibrated (or did we never figure them out). they saved us a ton of time finding each other, just a ton! and i protected them like i do my own phones - they were easy NOT to lose!

No, if they break they fix. so i know somone who went to guest services and they just replaced them with no problem.

I found it annoying to tip the head server for the room. My guys at the table - i gave extra to as they were outstanding.

can we do this cruise again? tomorrow? get me out of the snow NOW!!

I was thrilled that they did not bring. I can just hear it now, 100 phones ringing during a show. In a way now that I think about it, I wish they did because then the Alfred and Seymour show may have been a lot funnier than it was.

We think Alfred and Seymour are hilarious.

They are. Now I can only dream about what would have happened if the Wave Phones rang.

they are hilarious. but for when we were at the pool (not quiet one) or up top or something itd been nice if they rant. I spent about an hour or maybe a little less with seymour out by pool with some kids and my adult kid and he was both hilarious and serious and very nice to talk to.

I see what you mean! One thing for sure you get to the show early and stay fixed in your seat!!!!:lmao:

That is so true. I warned my friends who were first timers about that. My one friend did not believe me. After the show he told me he is happy he did not go to the restroom durring the show and that he was not late.

We got home this afternoon and it feel good to be back. Las Vagas was nice but very expensive. Now to do the laundry and unpack.
Thanks to the people posting pictures. Like I said before I lost a lot of them due to a bad picture card.

Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful cruise. We had a GREAT time.

I am thinking the Enchanted Rose label is made for Disney. However, you might be able to get that wine from your local wine dealer by asking for the winery and looking to see what they sell. Here is a picture of the label. It is from the Vinicola Abbazia De Gaudenzio winery, with the distributor S Stefano Belbo of Ialia. The wine is Vino Spumanite Aromatico de Qualito - dolce 7%.

Thank you so much for the picture & info on wine. I think that just might cure me!:littleangel:
