Would love to hear your wet suit story. We were.... Couldnt stand up and couldnt get it on or off....

Tami: Valerie probably would prefer telling in person where she can gain full value from expressions and contortions! Something makes me think you know a bit about what her story includes. It is best told in the presence of beverages.

Others: As for laundry soap. Valerie wouldn't let me help on last cruise because I had an injury, but she'd lug a couple of loads to the torture chamber in the middle of the night, or 5 a.m., and find the place busy even then. But I determined that there were a lot of morons in the laundry when she was there. Worst problem, oversoaping the HE front loaders with soap. HE machines sense small loads and use less water, among other things. One morning the deck was awash with suds; another, some rich b***h bragging that her maid usually did this for her had loaded tennies, silky unmentionables and colors together, and don't try to tell her what to do! (And why, if she can afford a maid, can't she send a bag of duds to the ship's cleaners?) We laughed trying to decide how her load turned out.

I'm glad my room isn't across from the laundry. Traffic, noise, soap scent.

Is the SM reveal and the Hunt on the same day? I don't think it would be a problem. There are so many things going on we will need a vacation from this vacation.
Did we have to sign up for the PJ breakfast or do we just show up?

If we think we want to do the scavenger hunt but something changes our mind, does that screw things up?

Nope! Although it's a very low key event and you have until 10:00pm to turn in your score sheet, so it shouldn't interfere with any cruise activities you have planned. The only thing I can see would be if you're doing something at the specific time you're supposed to to meet the crew members. If I understand correctly, one of the Quests requires you to be at a specific place at a specific time.

Me too! I was going to go tonight, but I decided I'd MUCH rather work on FE gifts! So now I'll be stuck going to Costco tomorrow with 10,000 other nuts who waited till the last minute!

HE = High Efficiency. They use less water. And I don't have one, but I believe they're all front loading, so you wouldn't be able to put the water in first. But I could be wrong. As I said, i don't have one. Santa figured I'd much rather have other gifts this year!

Is anyone considering purchasing the photo CD on-board from Shutters? I think the price is going to be insane, as these are the prices I found for the regular itineraries:

3-night - $249.95
4-night - $299.95
7-night - $399.95

Whether it's this, or one of the photo packages, I forsee spending a fortune at Shutters.

Found a pair online, but really hated to order them online. We found a pair of PJ bottoms at JCPenney that are black with red skull and crossbones. They were on clearance for $6, can't beat that

I always have Mickey PJ's. In fact I think that is all I have. Maybe a few Tink and one Grumpy.

Oh! We did a PJ breakfast on the EB TransAtlantic in 2007...have a group picture in the atrium, taken by DCL photogs.

So consider asking the photo team to be there if you have this to document all the PJ wearing dissers taking over Triton's for breakfast.

The PJ breakfast is happening. I will let them know we are coming but as posted - it isn't a confirm kind of thing...we meet and go together and hopfully we can sit close. I will check with the photogs for a picture at 9AM but if they do not show - what we did in 2008 - someone took the picture from up above and then it was posted for whoever wanted it.

As for the SM reveal - I am not sure what day the quest is (I might have missed it) The reveal will be the last sea day - just not sure on time/location but hope to soon. I will have it posted on my door as well as the main door for updates. I am in cabin 7528 for any SM updates. I am expecting morning and have requested 10AM.

"HE" stands for high efficiency. They require less water and soap and can hold a larger load size for size than regular agitator machines. But they also sense the size of the load, and use less water for smaller loads. They often spin-dry ("extractor mode") more water from the clothes so drying time is shorter. A regular washer might use 20 gallons in the wash cycle, but HE's can go very low-volume.

Dunno about sheets, but yeah, probably cut them in half, smaller if you don't fill the machine as much as you would at home. For people who use separate products, also cut back on dry bleaches, fabric softeners.

That first meal is special. No more worries about last minute snafus or problems. Anything forgotten is what it is - no going back for it now. You can finally sit down and just be there. For me it is that moment of transition. I totally get it.

I was waiting for an engraved ipod for lens xmas,tracking thing wasnt working every time I logged on, yesterday it worked and they said they tried to deliver on the 22nd,but address was incomplete. it WAS complete but the lazy useless barstewards couldnt be bothered to call and find my house and cause the sat nav cant take them to it it has been sitting in the depot since then. So now I wont get it for hols never mind xmas, and Len heard the whole conversation so no surprise either.

I have to say Apple customer care was 100% they couldnt do enough, but its a shame they cant do anything really, its ups thats worse than useless.

i believe it's all the temp drivers they hire this time of year. (we had stuff delivered in rental trucks even. and friend's sister is working for them november and december, and from my friend, she isn't so pushy to find places, not her career!)

why am i up at 530? this is my ONLY trepidation about this trip (well this and seasick on the cabo whale watching) - the snoring is so bad i cna't sleep and it's sensless to go to another room when i have to be up in an hour anyway. what do i do if i get no sleep on cruise - well maybe sleepunder the sun at the pool!! but really, that's nice but not a good long sleep. sigh.

and i hadn't thought about that first lunch. that's so true so i'll be close for what is my number 2 most exciting time (no 1 is still DD)

Yup. I either love 'em or hate 'em. I had a penzo cookie jar shipped from WDW. It was "out for delivery" but never showed up. Apparently, it had 'been destroyed'. Now how that happened in 3 miles, I'm not so sure. Took me FOR EVER to extract my money back as Disney and UPS threw the ball back and forth.

Two words - EAR PLUGS.

And two more critical words for the snorer - SLEEP APNEA. It can kill you - so get a sleep study as soon as you get home!!!!

Sorry about UPS Lynne, we had our own issues with them this year. I ordered a gift for my brother to be delivered to his apartment in West Virginia (in lies in the city - Morgantown, not in the boonies). It went out for delivery to Pleasant Valley WV, not Morgantown per the tracking. I then get an email that it will be delayed due to shipping problems, yada yada. I call my brother to tell him. He was using the tea pot (the said gift) as we spoke.....
I paid for overnight shipping on one of Jeff's presents from Amazon. Half came FedEx, the other half UPS. UPS held their part in Kentucky for two days.... so much for overnight...

I have been waiting for a pirate outfit to arrive from ebay for me - looks like the seller hasn't shipped it yet (should have been here today). The latest is "if you can wait a week, maybe it will have arrived by then" . My reply - "uh, no, I can't wait." I fly out on Sunday to FL, and in a week I will be on the ship. So I am now without a cool pirate outfit for pirate night. I now have to rack my brain for an alternative.
