Does anyone want to meet at The Beach Club on Wednesday, January 5 after Epcot closes or Tuesday evening at Beach Club?

My TA has told me that it is $30/pp for transfers from port to DL. I trust her completely, she has never led me wrong with information before. Nevertheless, I cant see the value at all in doing these DCL transfers unless you are a single person- 2 ppl for $60, when it is only $72 for a private car that I found through a sedan company, and thats for up to 3, maybe 4 people. Well worth the extra $12 to me to have a private car ready for me without waiting for others, and it includes the gratuity too.

I am definitely up for a WDW meet the night before the cruise. I think Jen is planning on at the BLT maybe too? I will probably decide what we are doing when it gets closer to January and we see where we'll be on the 5th for dinner/theme park.

My name is Wyndi, and my daughter, Tennessee, and I will be cruising for the first time! We are very, very excited to be sharing this trip with our friends, the Schillers, and with all the other Disney cruise enthusiasts. I am off to explore the boards!!

Thanks for the offer - I'd love to meet up on the 5th, but don't know for sure for what time we'd be able to make it. I made my ADRs so long ago, I can't remember where or when we're booked for dinner that night (and too lazy to log into my reservations atm).

Lori - glad I'm not the only "list" person. Hope you can find someone to hitch a ride with from POP.

Wyndi - welcome aboard the board :) How old is your daughter ?

Back to the ironing..... :laundy:

Cheers,
Sally :)

Ok, testing out this multi-quote thing. :goodvibes

If we are voting, I like the idea of a meet at the Radisson (or some other hotel). We will have room for 3 if anyone needs a ride.
Maybe we should just meet at the Radisson pool on the 5th as someone suggested? That certianly works for me. I don't think everyone that has respnded so far is staying at the Radisson or lives nearby. Both DH and I have to work on the 5th so I will just want to get to the hotel and relax instead of going somewhere else.

I agree BUT every company I've researched so far does not provide car seats! :confused3 I'll try the Disneyland boards for more info, but right now it looks like we will have to pay the $90. I'm not even bringing a stroller so I'm certainly not bringing a car seat.

For those celebrating this week, from my family to yours...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the head's up! I looked yesterday and the rates were higher than when I booked. Since specials usually come out on Tuesday, I had decided to just wait till next Tuesday. But thanks to you, I went ahead to check again and we are now saving quite a bit more. For my flights to/from San Fran in Oct and our flight to MCO in Jan, I already had a total of $78 in credits. Now I have $242!!!!! We are saving an extra $164 :banana::banana::banana: That should be close to half of what we need for our flights from LA. Hoping those come down next. From LAX is $152/person (nonstop), from Burbank $124 (but with a stop), other 2 are higher.

Again, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I get it right?

Lol, we had the same issue here...Canada Post decided to change our mailing address to be our civic address, without telling us just before Xmas...so almost all of our Xmas mail was sent back to sender....so our civic address is ottawa, but our 'postal box' is in kinburn...painful

Liam and I were on Canada AM for the last Corner Gas Episode, and are on the season 6 DVD as part of the 'it's been a gas' special.....so you can guess we are huge fans.....should bring my dog river hockey jersey on the trip....

Hoping the weather in Jan lets us get down to Orlando without too much hassle...

When are you heading down?

We are heading out on Jan 3...2 days before school goes back after the holiday. HA HA HA!!!

Ryan is parasailing at 10:00. Enlighten me about "all 3 Disney ships":confused3

There is a rumour that the Magic, the Wonder, and the Dream will all be at Castaway Cay for a photo op while we are there!!!

That would be soooooooo COOOOOOOOOL!!!!!

the Raddison is Ok with us. Just let us know the time. If there is anyone staying at one of the other hotels and you need a ride to the Raddison let us know.

Will check again tomorrow for the shuttle to the hotel and then Lax. Thanks to everyone for the info,

I know we have been over this...

What are the rules for bringing your own beverages on board?

Also, does anyone know what time they admit you to MK for the MVMCP? I heard you could get in as early as 4pm with your bracelets but the party doesn't start until 7. True?

Yes, that's what we are hoping for! :thumbsup2 We have other DIS friends who will be on the Magic too!

What are the rules for bringing your own beverages on board?
From the DCL FAQ thread:
Alcohol is permitted on board. However, be aware that any fragile items (including bottled alcohol) must be hand-carried on board in a day bag and/or carry-on bag, the dimensions of which cannot exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep.

Also note the following that is noted on the same page.
Please be advised: Disney Cruise Line reserves the right to remove fragile items (including beverages) from luggage. In such cases, items will be stored and returned at the end of the voyage. Beverage containers are considered fragile and have previously caused damage in checked luggage. All fragile items must be transported inside carry-on luggage.

That's a shame they dont provide car seats, even for a little extra charge. Seems like they would get a lot more business if they did. I guess the DCL transport is the best way then for those requiring a child seat, unless you want to rent a car because I know you can select to pay extra for one with them (I know Hertz for sure). We are still on the fence if we want to do a car service from the port to PPH, and then rent a car from DLR to San Diego/airport for just one day, or if we want to rent the car the whole 4 days.

True,

Your ticket allows you entry at the parks at 4pm if the party starts at 7pm. You will need to have your MVMCP bracelet to stay in for the party, but you should get that on entry.

Same for MNSSHP.

We have spent all day in the MK and later in the day there would be check points, where they would swipe your plastic ticket and then wristband you. Might have changed:confused3
