From VB to HHI: An Act of Spontaneity

So I'm on the road home from VB. I'm in Savannah and I'm heading to a WV Walmart parking lot to sleep. Don't ask.


And it's early and still warm and I'm heading in the wrong direction for such things - north.

And I think "hey a mere half an hour is my beloved HHI". Hmmmm.

So I phone MS and I get a one bedroom. For one night. Work how it gets in the way........

33 points for one night! Worth the joy of a spontaneous moment.

I love HHI's one bedroom balconies.

So we just relaxed that day -

The next day we went to the Beach......

First I just realized they added BLT and the Treehouses.

On to the beach -

I lost and I was not thrilled about that!!

Okay down to the beach.....

Down to the beach. HHI is a much different beach. Wider - a lot, hard packed sand. I was sad not to stay this time. Had a blast last trip. But we had to leave. and it was very windy anyway.

And forgot these from the night before. I love the trees. Mystical.

A wonderful trip. Too short. But wonderful.

So hope that the views inspire more VB and HHI trips. Lovely resorts.

You know I want to say VB and then I feel like I'm cheating on HHI. So tough. They are so incredibly different.

I could sit on a HHI balcony all day. Yes, I'm lazy. And adore the Beach House. The feel of it. Like walking through Palmetto Dunes (area where the BH is).

However, the compact nature and beauty of VB is enthralling. To have the beach, pool and room so close makes for such a relaxing vacation. It's all simply pulling. We went out one day and all I wanted to do is get back to the resort. That's prettly powerful considering I was looking at Nine West $15 jeans.

I tell you what I don't understand. I don't understand the DVCers who have said here - what's there to do at VB after a couple of nights? Either I'm a very lazy girl (whoops woman) or some people just can't relax. Simply. I thought about those lines on the DISboards about VB and being bored all week. It's like some have to be hyper stimulated all the time. I walked around thinking WTH all week. I could have stayed weeks - easily.

And in case anyone thinks that's a personality thing. Well there were four us - all of us like night and day. And we all adored it.

HHI or VB - I never miss WDW while at either of them. And I adore WDW - of course.

Oh don't get me started on Savannah. It's always my stop of choice. Love walking down by the water. The darn Priceline "name your own price" wouldn't let me in this time on the way through......
