how would you rank them for most to least festive for birthday?

You can never ever count on anything special for your birthday..no matter what the restaurant. Just make reservations at places you will enjoy, not birthday on the reservations and don't worry about it. Disney does not guarantee a birthday celebration, although some restaurants will..don't expect anything unless you pay for it in advance.

how would you rank them for most to least festive for birthday?

First, Happy 50th Birthday. My husband is taking me next Saturday for my 50th (which happens to be the end of December but we need to be in town for a huge wrestling tournament that our college son will be in at Northwestern University).

We have only eaten at four of them, so I will rank those only:

Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
50's Prime Time
Liberty Tree Tavern
