DS is not artsy like DD. For the airport and time before he can turn on electronics on the flight, I made him a book for him to do. Examples draw dad with big ears and a truck. Draw a tree in a winter storm. Tell dad you are going to show him a magic trick. Ask him for a quarter. Slide it in your pocket. Prepare to be attacked. Some pages have questions: What would you buy today if you could? What would you change your name to? Draw your dog having a conversation with another animal. Draw your sister with crazy hair. On some pages I drew puzzles, tic tac toe, dot game. I wrote in red pen. He will have a regular pen/pencil to complete.
DD 13 thought he would like it. I showed her the wreck it journal online, now she would like one for a gift for herself.

Sounds like a neat idea! Im acutally trying to make one that is srickly about Disney we are getting aps for christmas an I am trying to make a small pocket sized one for the parks! like Placing a animal kngdm sticker here! mickey sticker etc autogtaphs here and there! a keepsake that will be free!!

Sounds awesome! My mom used to make us folders full of puzzles, auto bingo, journal pages, etc for our family vacations and it really helped us pass the time in the car traveling..of course this was in the days before ipods or even walkmans!
