From RoFR to closing docs~ minor update pg3

Past RoFR 8/8 got my docs from Timeshare Closing today!

Thing is - I just got financing approved yesterday and don't have that paperwork yet. LOL Jerry @ TTS even said (yesterday) we had about a month to go before we got the docs.


We had financing via my credit union but between an unofficial "you're good" and our actual application the terms changed from 60 month to 24 months needless to say our monthly payment didn't look so hot then.


my timeline

7/25 9 am see contract by 12 noon same day offer was accepted
7/28 Owners have paperwork in to TTS already
7/30 TTS receives my deposit and submits to RoFR
8/08 Pass RoFR
8/15 Find out about credit union snafu and get loan papers from TTS
8/17 Get my hubby back briefly from the Army and fill out paperwork
8/21 Overnight to TTS
8/22 TTS calls we're approved for the loan
8/23 I get closing docs via email *squeek*


I called the bank and the lady there kinda squeeked too - she'll put a rush on my paperwork. and since I don't get hubby back again til next Tues that should be fine....


I think I'll go faint now......

truly I don't think you should be worried yet, it normally seems to take 4 - 6 weeks and you're just hitting that mark.

I'm sure the only reason mine has gone so fast is I was hoping it would be much slower than this so of course the universe has to do a Murphy Law on me

I also passed ROFR on July 26, I recieved my closing docs on Monday 8/20.
I ran up to the bank before they closed to get the cashier's check and FedEx'd it back on Tue, they recieved it on Wed so now I am just waiting for my membership card! I am really hoping to hear something before we leave next Wed because I would love to add on at AKV while I am there.

Extreme, it would not hurt to call MS before you leave, or while you are there to check.

You're getting my hopes up! I put a contract on BWV on Wednesday. I overnighted a check on Thursday and it went to ROFR yesterday!

I understand about Murphy's Law better than most. Since I want to close ASAP, it 'll take the full six to eight weeks!

We just got our loan documents yesterday, and the nice loan officer had a note that the funds could not be dispersed before 9/04/07 so we likely won't close til the end of next week at the earliest - tho I've been wrong before

Aaaaand, today we got an email from the Guide that we spoke with in December, apparently they informed her of our resale purchase. "She" sent us our dvcmember pin number.

I called MS to find out the rest of the info that I needed to get registered on the site, at that time they did not have my "point" info. By the time I got registered, my lunch hour was over.

It would not let me use my disney.com userid, so I had to use a different one... *sigh* Makes no sense, but I have had this same trouble all over the .go network. They should call it the .NOgo network.

Anyway, I am all registered. When I got home from work and checked online, my points are now showing up. So, I am going to see if MS will be open tomorrow and try to book or first official trip HOME!

They said that my welcome packet should be arriving any day.


Can't wait to see what is/is not in it.

Yikes!!!!

I contacted TCS Friday and they said my closing docs were sent by email on the 21st!!!! I don't know what happened but they never arrived in my email, not even my junk mail.

Anyway they resent them to my work email, and I mailed them off express post with a bank draft on Saturday morning.

To think I might have had my dvc registered by now is giving me a . Especially since I'm hoping to use my points in March 2008, which is peak season and only 6 months away.

Quick update from us~

Benchmark Bank has received all our paperwork, cut a check, + mailed said check today

So as soon as TCS has that check we should be done.


End of this week maybe, by next week for sure!

Murphy's Law kicking in. Disney wanted the contract reworded on who's paying MF on which points. Everything is the same just worded differently. Hope to get this through soon! We're going to be at Disney first week of March. Hoping to get ressies.

Is the 10 day waiting period after closing 10 business days? We closed last Tuesday on an SSR resale and I was going to try and call MS to see if we are in the system yet.
We have a Dec UY and points become available in Dec 2008. We're going to borrow and try to take an Oct 2008 trip.

I got an email about closing on Tues 9/11. We had some hang ups w/ the holiday weekend and the loan issues etc otherwise we could have actually closed in late Aug.

Still we're officially owners!
