Quick birthday trip next Saturday!
Pop to MK via bus then I can park hop to HS from MK and back via bus, right?
Any ball park idea of time it takes in transfers?

Then Sunday AM I want to eat at Boardwalk Bakery.
So from POP I'd take bus to MK then transfer to bus to Boardwalk Resort, right?
Then I'd go from Boardwalk Resort back to MK then back to POP, right?
Any ball park idea of time it takes in that transfer also?

ANY tips/suggestions are WELCOME! Thanks dis'ers!

I'm going to Boarkwalk Bakery on SUNDAY not SATURDAY. I won't have a way into HS to get on the boat unless it's outside HS which my map isn't showing. Also, is there a sidewalk from drop off bus area all the way to Boardwalk Resort I'm not seeing? TIA! :)

The boat is definitely outside of the park - no need to go in the park to get on it. Also the walking path is clearly marked and you'll see it near the boats and bus stops. Both the boat and the path are marked on this map.

Yeah, Google maps suck. HAHA THANK YOU @bluezy and @Disneylover99
Any idea how long it takes to get from HS boat port to the Promenade Pier port?
I have to be back at POP no later than 11:30am to catch the ME back to MCO since they require you to go to MCO 3 freakin' hours prior to your flight.

1. Yes, you can park hop easily. Figure on 45 mins...tops. Each way. Probably less time, but if you arrive just as the DHS is leaving, it could be 20 mins before the next one.
2. I would actually take a cab. Cost would be around $10, takes less than 10 mins. The resorts are very close.
Or, you can take the bus, from Pop, to DHS. Then, if the boat is at the dock, or just coming in, head there. No need to enter the park...its outside the entrance. If the boat is either leaving or nowhere in sight, I would just walk to BW. Head straight towards the canal, then go off to the right, parking lot on your right, canal in your left. Walk a bit, you will come to a dozen slope on your left, with signage to BW. Follow it to BW. Takes about 15 mins.

As far as a walkway at BW, yes, there is a covered walkway from the bus stop up to the hotel.

I'm not sure what the appeal of the Bakery is. It's ok but nothing I would make a special trip for. And I stay at BW a lot!!

Hope you have a great time!!

Do not take the boat/bus!! You need to be at the bus stop at least 15 mins prior to the pick up time you are given. Take the darn cab! So much faster!! If you take the boat, it will take you about 20 mins, not including wait time, to get to DHS. Then, wait for the Pop bus, then ride back to Pop. You would need to leave at least an hour for travel time, maybe more. A cab will take under 10 mins.

I agree with goofy4tink. If getting to the bakery is really important to you, I would take a cab. It's about a 30 minute boat ride (from the time the boat leaves the dock) to get to Epcot. Boardwalk is the last stop (after Swan/Dolphin and Yacht/Beach club) before Epcot so it would take about 20 minutes for the boat to get you there. It's about 2/3 mile from DHS to Boardwalk, so you could probably walk it faster -- but if there's a boat in the dock waiting to leave when you get there, it might not be significantly longer to take the boat. A cab is going to be much faster. If you add up all the potential wait and transportation times, you really need to allow an hour each direction (allowing 15 minutes for DHS bus to show up at Pop; drive to DHS; potential wait for a boat & transport time OR walking time; and then reverse it to get back to Pop). You'd need to leave Pop by 9:00 a.m. to be safe. Or, you could take a cab there and back in less than an hour (or at least take a cab one way).

I agree with the above posters - a cab would be easier and quicker. Also, not sure what the draw is for the Boardwalk Bakery - I stay at the Boardwalk all the time and hardly ever eat at the bakery.

You might think ME picking you up 3 hours before your flight is crazy, but believe me with MCO it is needed.

THANK YOU ALL!

Broadway Bakery sounded yummy, cheap and eating it near the beach/water/pier sounded fun.
I will take any suggestions for other yummy, cheap breakfasts within a neat environment! :)

The Bakery really doesn't have all that much other than a few breakfast sandwiches and pastries. If it were me, I would just grab something at Pop. With an 11:30 DME p/u, you really don't have a ton of time. But, if you just want a coffee and a pastry, and are willing to take a cab, then you would have time to head to BW and the Bakery. But, I would start out by 8am!!! Then be sure to be headed back by 10ish.

Oh yeah, I was planning on being at the bus stop by 7:30am. Maybe I should just get some sort of breakfast sandwich at POP and head to MK and ride the monorails all morning. haha Thanks for all the input folks!

Ok, thinking of changing my plan. Doing all day at MK Saturday, then HS Sunday til 10:30am (EMH! In @ 8am) That's 2.5 hours to ride ToT, Star Tours, RnR, TSM! It's a small park and i'm alone, so if I hoof it, I think it's ok. Question @goofy4tink General time length from POP to HS and HS to POP? You rock! :rockband:

It can vary. If you were to drive a car, it would take about 8-10 mins. But, taking a bus changes that. Could be a 1 min wait, or it could be 20 mins before a bus gets there. Buses start rolling by 6:30. If DHS opens at 8, I would be out at the bus stop by 7. Then you're sure to be there, waiting, when it opens. Then, again, time to get back could vary, depending on wait time for the bus. I usually figure worst case scenario to be 45 mins. Probably won't be that long, but you don't want to cut things too closely.
