I was glad to see you on FB. It helps me keep up with the adventures that all of our DIS families are involved in.

It took me a minute to figure out who it was requesting me and then I looked at the picture and figured it out. :thumbsup2

And I agree. I'm not always the best about keeping up over here, but on Facebook I can still know what's going on in everyone's lives. :goodvibes

Welcome back MeMom, Jill, Brooklynn and Bella! I posted on Memom's FB but I wanted to say it here. I'm so glad your trip (although short) was a success. I know Trent was as excited to spend time with you as y'all were to see him.I have to say MeMom that I was a little worried about how Kitty was doing while you were gone. I'm glad he was feeling better when you got back.
The girls are really growing up. I really noticed it it the photos from this trip. I was here from the first report when Brooklynn was just a little bitty thing. Now little Bella is getting big and brave enough to get pictures with those big ole characters. :)
Did you get that rolling duffle bag that they were offering? I only saw that offer at Pop.
MARCH hurry up!;)

We finally got to see this little girl!

SSRStayOct2010239.jpg

SO SWEET!!! i would really love to see her but i bet she'll be a lot bigger when we go this time next year!

Walking along the river at Saratoga Springs.

SSRStayOct2010341.jpg

ahhhhh.....wish i was there right now! :cloud9: our room was in congress park, and that looks like where you took the picture from. only our room was more towards the left where fulton's would be across the lake to the right.

We were happy to add Saratoga Springs to the list of Disney resorts we have conquered. I texted Wigd one night and told her that we had just walked over to Downtown Disney. That was so nice! We walked back over around ten at night, the girls tapped out in their strollers. It was such a peaceful walk.

i think this was one main reason we loved SSR soo much....walking to DTD was just so nice and such a short walk!

This is what Magic Kingdom looks like right now.

SSRStayOct2010030.jpg

Oh my gosh...so cool! I REALLY wish I could swing a trip in the fall...unfortunately, my teaching schedule does not allow it at this point in time. :sad2: So, for now, I'll have to enjoy WDW in the fall through your wonderful TR! :woohoo:

We finally got to see this little girl!

SSRStayOct2010239.jpg

YAY!!! :yay: I'm so happy you got to see the baby...she looks like she's grown so much from when I saw her this summer!!!

I loved the preview of the trip report to come. I love the Disney fall pictures even if we see more in Feb. any time of the year it is great to have pictures of Disney.

The picture of the lion was great, plus he was up and moving with noise, how exciting. When we go he is always asleep. The picture of the baby girl was so sweet. That is the first picture I have seen that she is not blocked by her mother.

Okay MeMom, how many times did you make it there in the past year? Counting all the way back to October 2009 to now.

Hmmm...
We went in October, then after Christmas until New Year's (the 2nd, I think), then spring break, then summer, then October again. Ideally, I would like a trip about every three months. That's enough to keep it fresh and fun, but still have no long, long waits. I love the longer summer trips we have been taking, but Jill said we may have to just do Saturday to Saturday this summer because of her work schedule. I'm okay with that if I know we can go back in the fall. We may end up going over July 4th week again just to make everyone's work schedules easier, and I'd like to go for a short fall break trip and a Thanksgiving trip next year. I love the spring trips, because they just make me feel so alive again after the winter months.

As always, though, money is the factor in what we can and can't do. Flights right now during our spring break are not pretty. :headache:

It looks like you had a very enjoyable trip with your family I loved following along on FB and seeing all of the pictures
I know exactly what you are saying about wishing yourself back in the pictures. It is like you can feel all of the surroundings, smell the air and look up at that blue sky.

Very happy to hear that your kitty is doing better. I have been thinking about him.

Tracy

Our cousins are eating at Whispering Canyon tonight, I do believe. I can just picture all of us there, too, and all of our guys wolfing food down as fast as they can bring it.

It really is hard to leave now, since we're also leaving Trent. :sad1:

The cat still isn't jumping around or anything - still moving a tiny bit slow and coming up and down the steps very slowly, but he's a far cry from where he was last week at this time. Last week, he was laying on the bed not moving, not responding, not eating or drinking, etc., and I really thought he was giving it up.

So happy to hear that your kitty is feeling much better!

Is the Animation Studios Resort going in right by Pop Century? Is it taking over the resort area that they never fully developed? I'm thrilled to see that they are working on it and not-so-patiently waiting for the reservation lines to open so that we can reserve our room right away! My mom is just as excited as I am! Can't wait!!

What a wonderful teaser for your TR-to-be! Can't wait! I followed along with Jill's Facebook updates and pics and now can't wait to read the TR to go along with it! Still can't wait to hear about your kleptomania!

Really wish I was heading up to Disney while I was going to be in Florida next week. Only 3 hours away and my kids and I won't be there. Just have to be patient. It's just hard when it comes to Disney and I know all of you can understand that!

Yes, it is across the lake from Pop. My understanding is that two buildings are remaining and will become the single rooms, and the new buildings will all be the suites. I'd like to see some single intermingled with the suites, but that's not the way I read it. Either way, we will definitely be waiting in line for our reservations whenever they open, because the girls will love it there, and I know Jill and I will, too.

Not only did I 'steal' something, I had Bella doing it, too!!! :scared1:

It took me a minute to figure out who it was requesting me and then I looked at the picture and figured it out.

And I agree. I'm not always the best about keeping up over here, but on Facebook I can still know what's going on in everyone's lives.

I'm glad you checked me out on FB. I like to know who people are, even on the DIS, before I friend them. I started to say 'Hey, this is MeMom', but I knew one look at the picture of the girls and you would know.

Welcome back MeMom, Jill, Brooklynn and Bella! I posted on Memom's FB but I wanted to say it here. I'm so glad your trip (although short) was a success. Did you get that rolling duffle bag that they were offering? I only saw that offer at Pop.
MARCH hurry up!

Bella started out by walking toward the characters and then away, but then we figured out she would hold Brooklynn's hand, and that worked well. Jill was ready to start getting out of all the pictures as she was having to hold Bella to get her to stay in them!

My sweet daughter gave me two surprise gifts on the last day. She's a mess, that one!

They also have a very cute winter scene throw as one of the special offers right now. Did they have that out already when you were there?

SO SWEET!!! i would really love to see her but i bet she'll be a lot bigger when we go this time next year!

i think this was one main reason we loved SSR soo much....walking to DTD was just so nice and such a short walk!

Walking to DTD was wonderful. We would have really enjoyed that during a longer trip, too. ::yes:: Jill would be over there eating with Earl as many times as she could!

We will probably just watch the little gorilla grow until she just looks like all the others and we don't recognize her any more.

Oh my gosh...so cool! I REALLY wish I could swing a trip in the fall...unfortunately, my teaching schedule does not allow it at this point in time. So, for now, I'll have to enjoy WDW in the fall through your wonderful TR!

YAY!!! I'm so happy you got to see the baby...she looks like she's grown so much from when I saw her this summer!!!

We have only started getting fall breaks in the last two years. I also didn't mind at all the year we got a couple of days in October and then a full week at Thanksgiving. :thumbsup2

She was a little way away from her mother playing in the bushes when we first walked up. A man said she had come out a few minutes earlier, so we just waited. Within about 5 minutes, she came out. I was so happy to finally see her, and people were snapping photos all over the place. She's a popular little girl. :goodvibes

***********************************

Can somebody tell the people at Southwest that I do not like their flight prices for March and ask them to please change them? ;) They are not making this one bit easy. We don't have enough time for all the driving. I guess we'll just have to suck it up and pay the high prices, but I will be whining about it.

Love the "sneak peek" pics!! Looks like on a fun time! Sometimes SW has such great fares sometimes :scared1: I will be happy to hang out with you until your spring trip. I will have Dec pics for you to enjoy on my TR during ur cold winter.

Love the pics from your trip! I wanted to go this fall so bad, but it did not happen. Love the decorations. I am sitting in a meeting about healthcare reform. Snore. The pics were just the thing to make me feel better.

I have been doing some brainstorming. I looked at the end of February and the first few days of March, and flights are $122, and on top of that, Disney World is offering free dining. :thumbsup2 I'm going to talk to Jill and see if she might want to/be able to go during those dates. Then we would just all renew our AP's on next summer's trips. We'll see what she says and if our friend can get off at that time, too. That might be an option, although I would have to 'skip' school for three days. :rolleyes1

You and Jill are both being bad girls tonight. I just texted her, and it is marked that she read it, and she's in a meeting, too! Both of you need to turn around and pay attention! The speaker may be looking at you right now. :)

The scarecrows are cute, and the orange is so pretty on Main Street. The rest of the park, other than Mickey's and Minnie's huge jack-o-lanterns outside their houses, is not decorated. We didn't do MNSSHP this year. That definitely does add to a trip, and I missed going.

That is why I sit in the back. He is using words like infrastructure, virtual integration, incremental deployment. My eyes are crossing.

Ooh, I love the GREAT pictures!!!

And I MUST have one of those 2011 calendars....add that to the ever-growing shopping list. :rotfl:

Your area of the country is GORGEOUS!! I love it. I am very impressed with Franklin, TN thus far. :thumbsup2

Well, then, let's transport you to somewhere a little more fun.

Buzz Lightyear, Tomorrowland Speedway, Haunted Mansion, Teacups, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Splash Mountain... Whoooooaaaah!

'Oh, Mr. Teacher Man, we're not listening!
We can't hear you over the sounds of the parade and the munching of some scrump-dilly-iscious corn dog nuggets!'

Watch out, mom, the ketchup on your chin may give you away!!! ;)

I am also year of the rat! I saw obstinate and just laughed because Charles would wholeheartedly agree.

I got some Japanese items for my culture event in December.

SSRStayOct2010528.jpg

Oh, I was drooling over those wall scrolls on our trip. I ended up getting the one second from the right for myself, and the one third from the left for Charles. The flowers in mine are the prettiest shade of pink, and it's very sparkly.

I can't believe you guys got to see the lion not only UP, but making noise! How cool is that?!

Christine said I could steal this from her FB and post it here (I was foolish and didn't ask for a picture of us with my camera :sad2:)

We had an awesome time on Sunday! We kept on making little Disney references, and of course we took pictures of the food we got at the cafe because it WAS a fake EPCOT meet ;)

Hurray for a sneak peek at the October pictures!!! Every year I wish we could take our big vacation during October -- it is one of my favorite times of the year at Disney!

I must confess that after reading Jill's text the other day I did a little happy dance in the kitchen and exclaimed, "Finally, somebody agrees with me!"

I am so excited you were able to see the baby gorilla! She sure is growing up quickly, isn't she?

Wait...in all those sneak peeks there was nothing about Grand Theft MeMom! When do we get that story??? :lmao:

and while you're at it tell them to hurry up and start flying out of atlanta! my sister had to fly on us airways out of atlanta today and she said it was a nightmare. she spent like 2 hours online/the phone yesterday just trying to get checked in for her flight and she was wishing she was flying southwest the entire time! but she made it home safe so i guess that's all that matters.

good luck on your flight rate shopping!

Thanks for the preview - pumpkins in February will be great! ;) It may have been a short trip, but it seems like you all did a whole lot. :thumbsup2

What happens if he doesn't come to Orlando by March? Are you going back up north?

It wasn't embarrassing. We thought it was funny. He didn't understand that it had to be the Dole Whip OR the Castle Show. Since he had never seen it, I am glad he got to do that. :goodvibes We'll be up for the Dole Whip in March.

Well, he's in Puerto Rico now. If he doesn't come to Florida by then I may be over there depending on how things are playing out. I miss him terribly and want to be with him but I am enjoying this time with my family and being near Disney. I just hope he comes here so everything that I love is in the same state.

Your area of the country is GORGEOUS!! I love it. I am very impressed with Franklin, TN thus far.

We used to get those calendars every year, but to be honest, the quality of the pictures is really not all that good. We decided to make some of our own with pictures from our trips, so we stopped getting them. However, we have not yet gotten around to making our own calendars yet! :sad2:

Franklin is a nice city. You are getting a taste of the wealthier side of town, though. :) We do have our share of not so pretty areas, too.

I am also year of the rat! I saw obstinate and just laughed because Charles would wholeheartedly agree.

I am such a bad friend. I was so engrossed in Animal Kingdom that I forgot to text you guys a picture until dinner time! I hope you could see the huge Mickey jack-o-lantern from out in front of Earl's. I know you guys had a great time together.

Jill and I can find a Disney comparison just about anywhere we go, so I know just what you mean about fake Epcot.

I walked around with one of those pretty scrolls, but in my cheapness, I thought maybe we could make something like that in class pretty much for free, so I put it back. I will probably be sorry. I got some cheap packages of food and a good luck kitty, and I took plenty of pictures to help me remember things we might be able to recreate on our own.

Wait...in all those sneak peeks there was nothing about Grand Theft MeMom! When do we get that story???

I can see why the kids love them. With Brooklynn being so little, Jill had to walk her through the whole thing, of course. Bella and I went inside shops, and she colored a Duffy Bear at the Kidcot Spot.

The grand theft made my heart stop, but what I had taken was very tiny. You'll have to wait to hear about it. From now until we get to that, you guys can just still think of me as a normal non-thieving person. :goodvibes And you know what, the whole thing was Disney World's fault anyway for being so darned exciting! It was a good ten minutes after I left the store that I even realized what had happened, and nobody knew, but I did go back and pay for my criminal activity.

It was exciting to see the baby gorilla. She was not over at the glass part, but around the back in 'the valley' foraging.

and while you're at it tell them to hurry up and start flying out of atlanta! my sister had to fly on us airways out of atlanta today and she said it was a nightmare. she spent like 2 hours online/the phone yesterday just trying to get checked in for her flight and she was wishing she was flying southwest the entire time! but she made it home safe so i guess that's all that matters.

We have been discussing the possibility of back the trip up a couple of weeks to get better airfare and free dining. It would require me skipping school, however. If we did that, we'd also be there on opening day of F&G next year, which would be cool, because they have a special opening ceremony.

Thanks for the preview - pumpkins in February will be great! It may have been a short trip, but it seems like you all did a whole lot.

It seems like it flew by so quickly, but we're planning another trip for spring, so that brings much happiness. :thumbsup2

I think we had just gotten into Hollywood Studios, discovered Bo's absence, seen some Streetmosphere, and eaten when I last left you. If any of this overlaps, bear with me. Things were crazy before we left, so I am just picking up around where I think we left off.

I think I remember maybe ending with Bella cleaning up.

Trent wants all of us to move there, too, so that he can have everything he wants around him.

I think everyone else left for other places at that point - back to to the room for naps for the girls, other rides for the guys, etc., and I caught a little bit of the Block Party Bash.

Great pictures! I want the Ewok, too cute!

While you are talking to Southwest, please ask them why KC to Birmingham is no longer part of their Wanna Get Away specials. I'd like a decent priced flight to visit my sister please. :yay:
