:surfweb:....I'm very intrigued....what could have happened for MeMom to be a klepto? :rotfl:

I'm enjoying all the FB pics!
I could really go for one of those Belgian Waffles! Yummy! :thumbsup2

I still haven't unpacked but I just wanted to say how wonderful it was meeting you the other night (and seeing you again Jill!) Hope you enjoyed the rest of the trip the "Dingus family" sure did!

Now that we are DVC members...

what lovely words!

My guidance counselor at school who was just down there a few weeks ago said her son says they are staying in the Treehouses next time. They stayed at Wilderness Lodge Villas this time. I'd like to take a tour inside of one of them.

Buzz and linnie are staying in the treehouses now and I plan on visiting them on Saturday.

We bought into SSR so I think I might make the treehouse my first visit in May.

The report is great as well as the pics.

Following Jill on FB and sounds like your trip now is fantastic, can't wait to hear all about it.

From the pics on Facebook it seems like you are having a great time! I can't wait to find out about Grand Theft MeMom!

Got a text from MeMom at 11:51am "Playing in the pool at Pop" and a cute picture of the girls :cutie: that I can't seem to get on here. Anyway, they are probably on their home now.

Can't wait to hear about all the adventures, fun, food, & shopping!! (and, a first: Mickey jail!!) :lmao:

sorry i haven't updated your TR from your texts like i usually do. things have been CRAZY with having company in town. you'd think with extra hands around to help with baby things i'd have more time but it's just the opposite. i know you guys are having a great time, though. can't wait to read all about it!

WELCOME BACK! I hope you had a great time. The Facebook pics were great! Can't wait to hear all about it.

I am finally able to come back to the TR. I am now up to page 170. Back on about page 164 you were talking about Taps. To this day I can not listen to Taps without tearing up.

For one, being an Army retiree, it hits home quite hard anyway. But what makes it hit even harder was back when I was stationed at Fort McPherson, Georgia, and was on funeral detail. I was on the firing squad for the 21-gun salute. We were standing up on a hill looking down over the burial site of this WWII veteran. What tore my heart out was that no one showed up at the grave site. Not one person. There was the flag detail/paul barers and the chaplain ... no friends, no family. He had outlived them all. When Taps was played, every single one of us had tears streaming down our faces (even the big, tough guys) and we went to the grave side after the services to give our respects. We were not normally allowed to do this out of respect for the families. But since he had no one else, our commander said it would be OK.

To this day, Taps brings this memory back and the tears start to come. I am tearing up now, just thinking of him.

What a touching story. I've got tears just reading this.
