I am so glad your kitty is a little better. I hope things continue to improve. Have a wonderful time at WDW!!! You all deserve it. Go be with your sweet girls and spend quality time with Trent and forget all your stress!!

I haven't been on the DIS much this week, so I almost missed this! HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!!!!!!!! I look forward to seeing it on Facebook and here when you return! :goodvibes

I just got caught up.

Thank you for all the wonderful Lego pictures! Henry was sitting next to me saying, "I want to buy that. I want to buy that." to every single picture.

Love the picture of Brooklynn and Jill shocked about the missing Bo! I'm relieved he is back!! Great one of him in the poncho too!

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. I sure hope he was doing even better this morning and everything will be fine.

Have a wonderful, magical, amazing trip!!!!

(I owe you a PM I believe, I will hopefully get to that today/tomorrow so you'll have it upon your return!!)

:grouphug:Oh, MeMom I hope the antibiotics make your kitty all better. I couldn't imagine what it is like to have to go through this. I think it's very sweet that Drew is being such a big help with the kitty.

I hope today flies by for you because you're on your way to Disney!!! :cool1: If I'm not on again before you leave, Have a safe trip!! See you at MK tomorrow.

Sorry, sorry, and sorry for ignoring everybody on the DIS this week. Last Saturday, I thought I had a busy but normal school week coming as I prepared for the trip. Then the cat got sick and school got even crazier with one of my students having a major mental breakdown. We had to have meetings on him, and of course all the stuff with the cat kept me so busy that all of the sudden, I have arrived at TODAY, and I'm not sure how I got here. You know how you do that in the car sometime - you are so deep in thought that you arrive at your destination but don't remember what you passed. At least, I hope I am not the only one who does that!

Anyway, this second vet thinks the cat just has a serious, serious viral infection. I went and got a kitchen baster this morning, and Drew and I managed to get a few drops of water down him. A dropper wasn't doing it, and a lot of the water from the baster went all over his face and all over Drew, but I at least know a little of it got in the cat! :)

We are on our lunch break at school. No students today, so we meet and meet and meet. We also will have time to work on report cards after lunch, which is much appreciated. You would have to see our report cards to believe them. They don't just say Reading, Math, etc., but under each subject there are objectives we have to rate 1, 2, or 3 on each student.

Here's one of our SS standards for second-graders:

Communicates ideas, value judgments, beliefs, and emotions through individual expression, group dialogue, cultural communities, and global networks by oral, written, symbolic, visual, and technological means.

Didja get all that? ;)

And then there's the one that asks us to rate our 7-8 year olds on how well they prioritize events, identify bias, recognize perspectives, interpret trends, and predict outcomes.

Yeah...elementary school ain't like it yooosta be!

With the cat getting better and getting some work behind me at school this afternoon, I might just be able to get excited about a certain upcoming trip. :wizard:

Jill should be here around 3:30 - 4:00, and we'll head to BNA to hitch a ride to MCO. :goodvibes ME will take us to SSR to meet Trent, who will have been walking around DTD. Tomorrow we'll open MK. All those letters add up to happiness! :cool1:

Thanks for all the encouragment this week, too - here, in PM's, and on Facebook. Since I am going into this unorganized, just remind me if you have asked for certain pictures, etc., so I don't forget. I know I'm looking for a Winnie-the-Pooh shirt SKU number, price, and sizes for one person and some Halloween sprinkles for another. Anyone in Magic Kingdom Saturday between 4-5, come over to Aloha Isle for a Dole Whip meet. Anyone in Epcot near Nemo on Monday morning, we'll see you there! If neither of those work, FB Jill and let's see what we can work out.

Yay! I am looking forward to following along on FB. Hopefully Christine and I will be able to send some pics from the aquarium while you guys are at AK. Have an awesome trip! :wizard:

Have a great trip! I hope all goes smoothly at the airport and you get to leave on time! It sounds like you need this trip after the week you've had!!

It's great to hear from you today. Wow how do you have time to teach the kids all this stuff, if it takes all your time and energy to grade them on this stuff? lol
Really though glad Kitty is doing better. I hope you get a chance to relax and enjoy this time at a very special place with very special people.

I hope kitty will be feeling better by the time you get back home.

Drew has been such a wonderfully supportive son during all this with kitty. :thumbsup2

 HAVE AN AWESOME TRIP!!!

Enjoy it! :goodvibes

Your week sounds like my day, yesterday and today. I had a few hissy fits trying to get back in the swing of things. when I voiced my concerns to my manager about how some things I thought were getting done by someone else were not in fact done, I got the speech about how maybe I should be there so I can hand my staff zip ties instead of the person who has those zip ties in his drawer actually listening to my staff when they ask for them doing it. :headache::mad:

Have a blast!!!!

Have a magical trip!
A neighbor got me the sprinkles as a gift for me getting her mail so, I don't need them anymore. Thanks anyways!!:goodvibes

Loved that BL got to throw the pixie dust at the Toontown opening. I had to laugh, though, cuz my DH would have been on the ground picking them up as souvies. :lmao:

Wow! If you guys are doing all of that in the second grade, how come my students still can't find the adjectives in a sentence? ;)

Hope you are having a fabulous time on your first Disney morning!
