You weren't kidding when you said then next thousand pictures were for the Lego lovers!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: I think you managed to cover the whole store!!!

You must be getting so excited for your trip! I know I sure am :goodvibes

Fun shopping pics!

I noticed in your pics that we missed getting the Ariel tail piece for Mr Potato head. I'll be on the lookout for it next time.

How did I miss those fancy plates?

Brooklynn always finds the neatest places to pose for pics! Very Sweet!

How's the packing coming along?

Ahhhh DTD, how I miss thee! :goodvibes I always want to buy Legos just because they looks so cool! But what on Earth would I do with Legos?

I'll keep Jarvis and his family in my prayers. My great uncle passed away a few weeks ago and that was my grandmother's only brother. With my Pop passing almost 2 yrs ago and now her only sibling gone, she's been very down in the dumps. If you guys could keep her in your prayers, I'd appreciate it

On the bright side, tomorrow I'm going pumpkin and apple picking with Chris' family. He'll be at work :( But I'm very excited to go with his family, especially Aubrey (his niece). One day this week I am probably going to get another tattoo, too. A tattoo shop near me is giving free breast cancer pink ribbon tattoos for this month since it's breast cancer awareness month so I think I'm going to get one for my grammy. She is a 40 year survivor!

And on the BRIGHT, BRIGHT side, you'll be in WDW SOOOO soon!!!! :yay:

I admit we did not look at the mr potato head parts this time! I don;t remember the autograph book when DH and I were there in 07 when I bought all the parts for my niece and my nephew but I did not want to buy them this trip for Caleb! I didn't want all of those parts at my house! LOL! They were good enough for my nieces and nepews! LOL! Course I guess that is a good thing because Caleb has been giving the dog all of his toy food parts so I would have been mad when the dog would have chewed up his disney toys!

The lego store looks fun! I have not been in there since 98 and I know my nephew would have loved it but the day we went to DTD it was pouring soo hard that we just wanted to get back to the resort to dry off!

I can not wait to hit the potato head store!! I want to get one for Hollie and fill up a box as much as I can of all those cute little potato'y goodies!! :lmao:

I have Duplo blocks in my classroom and the kids love them. I'm amazed at the things they design with them. Owen likes them too, he really, really wants the Toy Story 3 Train set.

Thank you so much for the Lego pics. We have had a return of Lego in our house.(happily:thumbsup2) I will show the pics to Declan tomorrow.

One week from today you'll be in Animal Kingdom...hurray! :yay:

I LOVE all of the shopping pics...Arribas Brothers is a favorite! :goodvibes

I like to look, but most of that stuff is too pretty for my house. :)

I am looking forward to Animal Kingdom.
Since I am doing this rainforest unit, I am hoping to find some cool stuff that will just make it awesome for the kids - and for me. ;)

There are hundreds of sets of things in that place. I bet kids who are really into Legos could stay in there for hours!

I have been too busy to think about it a lot, to be honest, but I know it will really hit me about Tuesday night.

Brooklynn enjoys posing with everything. It'll be interesting to see if Bella does the same, but right now, she doesn't like pictures much.

I keep debating about the Potato Head parts. I know the kids would love it, and it would make a cool descriptive writing activity, but when it comes to making purchases, I have just had to be extremely frugal in the last year. I bet I get a box full of parts soon, though.

I'm afraid Legos would be all over my room if I did end up getting them, but I know the kids would have a ball with them.

Have fun tomorrow. Brooklynn is going to the pumpkin patch with her school.

It's a good feeling to just be in your room for the night when it is raining in Disney World. A hot shower and some rest is very comforting and usually much needed anyway.

We have several of the generic Potato Heads, so all I would need is parts. Convince me not to be so cheap. Disney will discontinue Potato Head parts, and I will be sorry!

That was a lot of legos. Fun shopping pics!

And yet, it was just a small fraction of what they have. That place is loaded with stuff!

I have Duplo blocks in my classroom and the kids love them. I'm amazed at the things they design with them. Owen likes them too, he really, really wants the Toy Story 3 Train set.

My kids are probably too old for Duplo, yet they would probably make a big mess with a million regular Legos.

What to do....what to do.... :confused3

*****************************

I talked to my cousin that is in WDW a little while ago. They are in the Mickey Phone building getting packed up, as they have to meet ME in the morning at 7 something. She said Kemper, the oldest, was all about all the roller coasters. She said Dean liked Block Party Bash a lot. She said when he got sick for the first time, they were in the line at Peter Pan. SO, to anyone who was there this week and saw a little guy throw up in line....sorry.

They have had a good time, she said, and will go back again in a couple of years probably. I think they are the type that will end up liking Universal and going to the beach better, but I am glad they had a good time at Disney World, too.

I remembered Dad saying something about them, so those were taken with you guys in mind. Hope Declan sees a bunch of things he likes. :goodvibes

Ohhhhh boy potato head parts!!! I want more! Can you get them anywhere besides "Once Upon a Toy" and the shop in AK?

Wishing you a speeeeedy week!

I have so many of those Lego sets at my house it isn't even funny! Ben has toooo many to count and Ellie has 4 of the Toy Story ones. She put together the Sheriff set but hasn't finished the train. I have a small set of mixed pieces at school that I let them get out for indoor recess days. They do fine with them (I limit the group size). I think your students would be just fine and they love them!

This weekend went by as a blur! Ben did quite well at his swim meet-I think he got a couple of 2nd places but I'm not for sure yet.

On the way to the meet the kids were playing a game. Ben would yell out something and Ellie had to say the first thing she thought of and then he would either agree or say his favorite...some of the things he said "Florida, best place, Where you want to be right now, best restaurant"...all of her answers were Disney World:thumbsup2 and he agreed (he did ask some other things that weren't Disney or couldn't be like North Carolina etc.). After about the 4th or 5th time she said Disney, John looked at me and mouthed "look what you've done!":rotfl: I thought it was great!

I know this week will fly by for you! Can't wait to live vicariously through your trip!

Ahhh..I could use some shopping and relaxing at DTD right about now! :cloud9:

I think those Mr. Potato Head parts are so cute!! I've never really taken the time to look at them all!

I know, I know! I want them all. My students would get the biggest kick out of those. I'm just too flippin' cheap. I am going to take the plunge, though, soon. ::yes::

The Judge's Tent in Toontown has parts, too.

I don't think there is any doubt this week will speed by!!!

That's what I was thinking - good winter/indoor recess activity. Plus, a lot of my kids don't have toys like this in their homes. Their family incomes are limited, so often they have only cheap 'junk' and video games. Parents spend the money on the big ticket items for holidays and birthdays, and then they fill in with a few cheapy things or things they get from church give-aways. It seems like in talking to my students they have video games and bikes, but not things like board games, puzzles, Legos, etc. - things we all took for granted having. You would be amazed at how lacking some of them are in the ability to put puzzles together, because they have never done them. I mean, things like matching colors to like areas in the puzzle and turning the pieces all ways before putting them down - some of them have to be taught those concepts in second grade. I've been shocked a few times. Also, board games that we all played, like Candyland and Sorry and such - they don't have a clue how to start, take turns going around, etc. I need to have lots of puzzles, games, and toys of all kinds in my classroom to help them just learn simple things like how to play a game, share, and socialize quietly.

You have raised that girl of yours right! Think of the awesome mother-daughter trips you guys will have in the future! :cheer2:

Congratulations to Ben on his swim awards. :thumbsup2

I think every Mr. Potato Head needs a Mickey balloon!

I saw some Legos Connor got for his birthday in your stash of pictures! :goodvibes

I thought of Connor when I was putting those pictures up. I bet he could make some intricate masterpieces with all of those blocks!

Ahhh..I could use some shopping and relaxing at DTD right about now! :cloud9:

I think those Mr. Potato Head parts are so cute!! I've never really taken the time to look at them all!

If we go acccording to plan, our last morning will be spent walking around DTD and doing our last minute shopping. We have to bring home enough 'stuff' to last us until March. No holiday trip for us this year. :sad1:

Love the DTD pictures! I cannot wait to see the decorations there in December. I love the Mr. Potato Head parts. We have almost all of them and the boys love putting them together. My boys are really into legos now too. Blake (my youngest) LOOOOOVES Toy Story so he is gettin Toy story duplos and other Toy Story toys for Christmas. Cooper really likes to build and I am transitioning him into legs now. He loves the TRIO blocks too. I am so jealous that you get to see the monorail soon! Wave to it for me! I will see it soon.:woohoo:

I hope our weather is beautiful, as well. :cool2:

I am glad you were able to meet Poolrat. She is a lucky girl to get to go so often.

We'll be happy to see all of your pictures, no matter how many that might be.

Solo as in completely solo or meeting other girl friends down there? I think I could only go truly solo for two days - one day for walking around Epcot and one day for Animal Kingdom. After that, I would want my people with me. :)

Well I'm thinking about trying to go sorta solo. My cousin and his wife go just about every year during spring break. She works for the county school system so it's that or summer. We talked about trying to overlap a few days so the could do their thing and I could do mine. I really want a chance to really slow down and take pics and soak it in. This trip was pretty hectic even though it was not very crowded. I knew that it would be awhile before we went together as a family again so we tried to do as much as we could.

Here are a few pics we got of the Fantasyland work being done while we were riding Dumbo.

Morning, all!

Yes, I am going by myself. I arrive Thursday around dinner time, go to the ceremony at Friday for lunch & then leave Saturday morning. But, if you want...you & Jill could bring the kids to the hotel pool on Friday night and let them
swim. :)

How do you know when enough is enough to hold you over?
