The played 'Taps' at my Dad's funeral, it always meant a lot to him. He was so proud to have served his country! He would love that show!
He would have. The singing was beautiful.
I got teary eyed just reading this.

I would have been a mess if I had been there in person. I am a total sap when it comes to military men, veterans or anything patriotic. I would have loved to see this show though. Totally worth sitting in the rain.
Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Life gets so busy this time of year.
You have been missed. I 'thunk' you didn't want to come out and play with us any more.
The rain wasn't hard, and it didn't last the whole show, so we were fine.
I like where you sat at Chef Mickey's! It's like you had your own private little section. Breakfast looked yummy.
Voices of Liberty seemed like it was such a touching show. I know I would have teared up, too.
Chef Mickey's was good. I wish Jarvis could have been with us for a Donald picture.
I guess we had been living under a rock or something. We didn't know about the show over at Epcot on the 4th...
I sure hope we get the chance to see it again someday!
That was really our only plan for the day - to see that. After that, I think we scheduled free time until we headed out to see you guys for the evening.
I started crying reading this also.
I love how Bella was looking at Brooklynn during the character meets. Almost like she wasn't sure what to do but was learning from her big sis.
She was okay with the characters, since she had her pancakes to soothe her.
The character interaction looked great at Chef Mickeys!
Sounds like the Voices of Liberty concert was very moving...I think I would have gotten teary-eyed too. It never fails when I hear Taps...
If you had seen the feeble guy stand up, you would have been touched. He was very wobbly, but he was determined.
This brought tears to my eyes just reading it. They always play Taps at our Veteran's Day convo and I always cry. I just want to thank them for their service to our country.
I'm going back to watch the videos of seeing the Fairies and toontown.
We would be a slobbery bunch of DIS girls, wouldn't we?
Hope you enjoyed those videos.
Yep, I'm crying too here. What a very touching moment. I sure hope we are there for the 4th some year so we can experience this show, it sounds amazing.
That picture of Bella grinning with Goofy is stinkin' adorable! I love that little grin with the tongue!! Looks like a very fun meal at Chef Mickey's.
You are in WDW like 200 days a year now, so I bet you will catch it!!!
WOW what a great update!!! The character interactions with the girls at Chef Mickey's was too cute!! Loved the smile on Bella's face, what a dollbaby!!!
WOW, I love the Voices of Liberty and I imagine that their 4th of July concert is AMAZING!!! Hearing Taps always brings tears to my eyes, what a touching salute!!
She was having a good time. I was happy that she was contained and didn't have the option of walking away.
Loved the videos! The Steps were pretty nice....I'm sure they liked their picture in the book.
Yay! I think the Steps just do an excellent job with their improvisation.
Add me to the weepy ones just reading your description, MeMom! What a neat concert to be able to attend and just perfect for July 4th!
The girls are so cute with the characters -- I love that Brooklyn seems to be chatting them all up, and Bella just grinning and eating away!
We had three special things going on that day. It was very nice.
I love love love Chef Mickey's! But you already knew that.
Bella cracks me up. I love the pic of her in a daze.
I bet it was SO neat seeing the Voices of Liberty on the 4th!
I don't know what she was looking at, but that is a cute look.
Love Chef Mickey's. I wonder how sticky the characters get after everyone touches them?

I did tear up hearing about the Voices of Liberty show.
I bet they do have some syrupy sleeves after their rounds.
I love the Chef Mickey photos! We just love that breakfast!!
LOL! Bella was too cute eating and visiting with the characters at the same time! I love her and Brooklyn's matching outfits! They are just too cute!!
That is a good breakfast. I think we have food pictures coming up in the next batch.
Wonderful update!
Looks like Bella is warming up to the characters. It helps to have great character interaction too.
I teared up reading about the VOL show. I would love to see something like that.
I hope you get to sometime. It was a little cooler than just hearing a regular VoL show.
Okay, MeMom, I told you I was going to get caught up!!!
So I have just been through a slew of birthday celebrations, fun family times, a spin or two on BTMRR, a princess meet and greet, an evening at Epcot a trip through the seas with Nemo and Bruce's favorite girls... I have also just read about your fall trip planning, and an Animal kingdom safari!!! :faint REALLY I am making it to page 165....

So just stop posting for 24 hours and MAYBE I will be back in real time!!!!
Enjoying it all, of course!!!!!
F & W! Oh how fun and how I will miss it!!!!!
We've been busy. It has been fun to share it all with our DIS pals. We're so glad to have you back.
Add me to the list of getting teared up!! Sounds like the perfect show to see of the 4th.
Love the pics at Chef Mickeys. Love how Bella just kept eating away.
Yep, she wasn't more impressed with them than she was with her plate. You can see her grabbing for ir in one picture.
Happy Saturday!
I've been reading along each morning but finally have time to post a hello!
Great CM photos. We sat at that exact same table summer before last when we ate there for dinner.
I would love to see that Voices of Liberty show. We saw them for the first time this summer and all of us loved it. I got teary too from your description. They played TAPS at my father's funeral as they folded his flag (he served in WWII).
Am I right that there is a special Christmas Voices of Liberty show?? I hope so!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
I'm not sure about a special Christmas show, but that would sure be awesome.
What a wonderful concert. I wonder if they do anything for Memorial Day as we will be there then.
I hope they do. I want to go for a Memorial Day trip one of these days. That would be right at the end of school for us - a nice reward.
