I am lucky enough to have only a couple of very mild food allergies -- raw apples and pitted cherries. Those don't make me sick, only itchy in my mouth and ears. Some apples, like golden delicious, cause more of a problem, like itchy red splotches (I don't think hives b/c there's no bumps, just redness and itchiness) on my face in addition to the other itchiness. Cabbage makes me very sick so I've learned to just totally avoid that in any form. That is such a good idea about the card! That must make it much easier.

Some items are items I never really liked like peas, carrots, string beans, mustard, dill. Other items I eat a lot of like tomatoes, sesame and garlic. Explains why big Italian meals made me feel yucky. Most just make me congested and bloated. I think combined with mulch and grass cutting they were doing my body and the medicine I take every day could not keep up.
I will let you know about the card. I just thought about it when I got home. :rotfl2: Food and Wine may be interesting. now that I know what I am allergic to I can limit the exposure... mostly.

Hi MeMom, Jill, and everyone else! I have been back from my trip for almost three weeks, but I just got back to the DIS Boards yesterday. It has been very busy around here-my new job, the girls starting school, a new computer after mine crashed, and to top it all off BOTH of my in-laws were put in the hospital three days after we returned from our trip! My mother in law has been battling illness for a while, so that wasn't too much of a surprise, although she was very ill and we were very scared. My father in law had to have triple bypass surgery-and that was a surprise. My husband went to Massachusetts the week after we came home to be with them and to help out his siblings. The worst part was that they were in two different hospitals on opposite sides of the state! Everyone is doing better for now-but they have quite a road ahead.

Sorry I have written so much, but I have just missed everyone on here so much. I am all caught up though, and I can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2 I think your Great Cupcake meet looked fantastic. I just had a huge smile on my face while looking at the pictures. I just makes me so happy to see the great DIS friendships that have been made. I hope to be part of a DIS meet someday.

Trying to decide if I have time to do a trip report of my own. I have so many great pictures and memories I would love to share.

Love all the early morning pictures of Pop! I'll be there soon!!!

   @ Bella and her bathroom trip!

The girls look so pretty in their 4th of July outfits.

Great behind the scene pics after the opening show!

Looks like a great start to the 4th of July! Now that we are staying at Pop, I find myself pouring over your food court photos figuring out what we will do for each of our meals, not that I obsess or anything. ;)

Looks like Mickey brought out the sunshine for the morning of the 4th. That was awful nice of him! I love the girls' little patriotic outfits. It's one holiday I always decide too late to get something for my kiddos. Maybe next year?

Happy Friday, friends!

Love the Pop pictures!!!! How fun!

The girls are darling, as always....:)

have a great day, everyone!!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are having a great day.
Memom...loved the pics from the pool with the girls and the 4th of July too. So cute. But my favorite is Bella taking a little trip to the restroom...so adorable.:cutie:

Love all of the pictures from POP too! It looks especially wonderful when everything is all calm and without hoards of people. We will be there in a little over a month for 2 nights. A very quick but much anticipated trip to the Magic Kingdom. :woohoo: Some days it is what keeps me going.:goodvibes

I :love:Chef Mickey's...can't wait to see your pictures.

I love that sky! Gorgeous!

As much as I love Disney, I just can't get myself up that early... but it sure pays off for you with some great pictures!

Love the early morning pictures!!! :goodvibes Just how early were you up???!!

Such an adorable picture of Bella on her mini-trip!!!

Jill....the Art of Animation resort looks like so much fun!!! The girls would love it there...and adults too!!! :thumbsup2

It looks pretty awesome! As soon as they release booking dates for summer 2012 I will be booking. I can't wait to stay there - I know Brooklynn will LOVE it!

yes, we can't wait. I know that will be our next stay. I am trying to work out a 3 night stay there with a 4 night cruise. We'll see!

August would probably be out for me unless it was the first few days. Next summer, I am hoping we can go to WDW at the end of July and into the first bit of August, but it depends on what our school dates are.

We'll probably take the Saturday a.m. flight (13th, I think?) and be there around lunchtime. Jill and Bella may have to leave Tuesday night, but the plan is for me, Brooklynn, and our friend, Kay to stay another couple of days. I hope it will work out for us to meet while Jill is there.

I think the black-out dates are usually more Easter related than spring break related We've always gotten AP rates, that I can recall.

Keep me posted if you guys do decide to head to the Mall of America - generally flights for us are cheappppp - and I know the family would be happy to see us anytime of the year! ;)

Sounds great about the plans. I am HOPING we can be there for 10 full days, so we can be very flexible on our plans to ensure we can meet up with Jill and Bella too.

So glad to hear about that with the black-out dates. :thumbsup2 I threw the idea out to Joe last night, but he was too tired to respond!

Here we are - it's the Fourth of July, and we are in Disney World!

IMG_6422.jpg

This is so cute! I'm looking forward to your Chef Mickey's breakfast. The muffin and juice were good, but I love me some eggs!

If we end up at BLT in March, a Chef Mickey's breakfast will be booked. We've done dinner, but I hear their breakfast is really good. What do you think?

Disney Blog has put up some info on the Art of Animation studios. they added a resort page to disneyworld.com. :cool1:

Artof Animation resort

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the WL pictures and the Pop bunny! We didn't see any WL bunnies this year. But I did see an armadillo walking on the side of the road when I was on the monorail. AND when we were on the train in MK, we saw a real deer hanging out with the fake deer. I'm completely serious! It was so cute!

I just realized I never told you about this! I discovered on sunday that Leslie has taught Caleb the whole alphabet. If you point to a letter he'll say it. He has trouble with a few. "F" and "W" and a couple others. But it's really impressive!

I'm very excited because tonight we get to go to Toys R Us to shop for my second cousin Holly's baby shower. Finally, it's a girl! Not that I don't love the boys(In addition to Kazin and Caleb, Holly's sister Andrea has a 2 and a half year old son named Adam) but I'm excited to finally get to pick stuff out for a girl :lovestruc

So glad your family is preparing Caleb to learn to read. :thumbsup2

Shopping for babies is fun.

I love Pop century in the mornings everything is so fresh and clean. The store at Pop is so uncrowded. The food court music is on low until about 7:30, then everything seems to spend up, and wake up.

It is rare to see Classic Hall so empty.
It's interesting to watch the resort come to life. :)

I've never seen Pop so peaceful and quiet...I really enjoyed seeing it that way through your pics! :thumbsup2

Bella's bow...too cute! How long did it last? ;)

I just LOVE the opening at the MK...your pictures are great! :goodvibes

Probably not long for the bow. I can't remember.

I love the opening, too, and the singers/dancers as they jump off the trolley on Main Street.

Wow you get up really early. Of course its so nice and serene at that time.

The girls outfits are so cute. That bow is just the perfect touch. How long did it stay in?

The MK opening show is my favorite opening show. It always brings tears to my eyes.

Ready for the rest of the day.

I get up too early. I wish I could sleep late.

Brooklynn and I have been known to youtube the opening show. ;)

The center that my mom works at is peanut-free. There has been the occasional parent who has gotten peeved over that because their kid only likes/only eats peanut butter sandwiches, but luckily those parents are fairly few and far between.

As always, I love your early morning Pop pictures! I also want to know, how long did Bella's bow stay in?

Jill may recall. I'm guessing Bella reached up and pulled it straight out. We'll see if she still has it in the next pictures.

What peaceful Pop pictures. I always love seeing them.

Bella is too cute dragging her suitcase around. I'm guessing her bow stayed in for 5 seconds!

The MK welcome show is just so special.

Morning at Pop is peaceful, but once it wakes up, it's a happenin' place all day and into the night!

looks like a mighty warm patriotic shirt for July in Florida.

these two pictures are stinking adorable. Cannot wait for the pics from Chef Mickeys!

The more I see you POP pictures, the more I want to go there! However, I will probably never have the same view as I won't be up as early as you....:rotfl:

Isn't she a cutie? :cutie:

I hope you enjoy your stay at Pop when the time comes. :)

My goodness I am also in love with that adorable stuffed giraffe. I will be looking for him in October!

You must have woken up SO early to get those empty shots at Pop!! :worship: Love them!!

Happy 4th of July!! :)

Happy 4th of July to you, too, on September 17th!

I have finally made an index card with a list of what I am allergic to food wise. there are actually 15 items on the list but thankfully none are life threatning. With me it is mostly combinations of things that make me feel so I just have to space everything out.
I decided to do this after dinner at Teppan Edo where the language barrier was more difficult and I just gave up after a couple of items. Now I can just hand them the card.

I don't have any allergies. That would be kind of scary, I'm sure.

What a nice walk around Pop in the early hours of morning! What time were you up that day, MeMom? It must have been the crack of dawn considering how dark it was!

Hope Bella enjoyed her mini-trip to the bathroom!

The girls are adorable in their Fourth of July finery!

I try not to walk around too early. I don't want the CM's to report me for maybe being a midnight thief or something. I try to wait until around five to go out.

disney rabbits are the best. i hope in the next life i'm a disney rabbit.

so funny how kids will pick the cheapest, most random stuff to play with rather than the toys we pay so much money for!

There is something special about Disney bunnies. :goodvibes

I may pack some measuring cups and funnels for the October trip. They woule love those!

Believe it or not, I was eating appled when I read your post earlier! We love apples. I think I was allergic to tomatoes when I was a kid, but thankfully, I grew out of it, I guess. I would get a rash in the crook of my arm when I ate tomatoes.

Oh my goodness! My girls would have loved it! And their mom, too!! I can't even tell you how much I thought about you all on Saturday and how much fun you must be having. I even thought to text you to say hi to everyone but I figured you probably wouldn't hear it through all the fun!

Awesome pics of everyone at the meet, especially the girls with Trent. Great group shot! So cute to see all the kids together.

Thanks for the WL pics...sigh...we didn't make it over there at all this summer, but I really hope to next month.

If that giraffe is one of those pillows, I think we may be giving one a home, as well. Does anybody know if they have zebras??

Can't wait to see the pictures of Bella's first Chef Mickey's meal!

Have a fabulous Friday!

We did have a good time, and I probably wouldn't have heard you. Jill was reading Wigd's posts on FB.

I loved seeing all those kids together, too, and the older ones were just awesome - all of them! :thumbsup2

She's a good one, isn't she? :thumbsup2

I know that was hard on you to have them so far apart!

Seems like we have had a lot of trauma in the group lately. We always like to know about our sweet DIS families, so that we can keep them in thought and prayer.

Love all the early morning pictures of Pop! I'll be there soon!!!

 @ Bella and her bathroom trip!

The girls look so pretty in their 4th of July outfits.

Great behind the scene pics after the opening show!

There was only so far Bella could go in those rooms.

Disney trips definitely keep us going! :yay:

Can't wait to read about the real July 4th, not the one I made up in my mind:rotfl2:

Real 4th of July continues soon. :thumbsup2

I love reading anything about the new place! :cool1:
We'll try to get pictures of the progress in October and March.

I love that sky! Gorgeous!

As much as I love Disney, I just can't get myself up that early... but it sure pays off for you with some great pictures!

Kathy

I just get up naturally. I am glad to get the nice pictures, but I'd love to get some nice sleep, too. ;)

Thanks for posting the early morning pics of Pop Memom! Love to see it! Adorable pics of Bella starting out her morning as well! :cutie:

It looks pretty awesome! As soon as they release booking dates for summer 2012 I will be booking. I can't wait to stay there - I know Brooklynn will LOVE it!

I have a feeling we will be staying there in the Fall of 2012 when we go to visit MNSSHP!! Hollie would love to stay the Little Memaid or Finding Nemo room! :goodvibes

Hey MeMom and gang! Haven't been on for a few days. My laptop cord died so I had to use Sam's laptop and her spacebar is a pain to type with so I just read along. I got my new charger in today, so I'm back in business.:cool1:
I love the pics of the girls playing and Bella and that suitcase cracks me up.
I'm making a special trip over to Wilderness Lodge just to throw a quater in the special water. I need some wishes fullfilled.;)

Also, Ty had his tubes put in Tuesday. Oh my goodness! He was not happy about it at all. He didn't want anything to do with any of it. They couldn't take his temp, or blood pressure or even touch him. He hated the ID bracelet from the get go and it went downhill from there. He wanted out of that hospital room bad! He didn't have to have an IV they were just going to give him something though a mask. But after the way he acted they thought it best to give him a shot to calm him down before they took him back. It should have knocked him out but it only mellowed him for awhile. In the end the surgery went well and I think he already can talk better.

(Sorry about the pics quality they are from my little cheap cell phone.)
Here he is right before we left for the hospital. He wanted his milk cup, but he couldn't have anything until after his surgery.

Photo-00171.jpg

Before they started messing with him.( He had a bad hair day).:)

Photo-00221.jpg

After he got his shot. He was not happy. He layed down and pulled the covers up to his nose. And just stared everyone down.

59440_538371867123_82200296_31740898_704182_s-1.jpg

After surgery, all is well! He has his Mommy and his milk.

Photo-00241.jpg

We got to go home about an hour after surgery. They couldn't wait to get us out of there.:lovestruc

The good news is we leave 2 weeks from tomorrow for his first trip to Disney. Hopefully with these tubes in he won't have to much ear pain.
