From Pop to the Top - Funtastic Adventures in the Summer Sun!

As someone who is mostly a lurker around here, I feel so uncomfortable asking a favor of all of you wonderful folks, but...

I was wondering if there is anyone of the several of you who are heading out to the world this summer who could might find a new Mickey head balloon weight for my daughter. Ours were attached to the balloons they gave to our children at check-in when we stayed at ASMusic. We then attached my daughter's to the bottom of her new pin lanyard. Unfortunately, she then lost said pin lanyard...

Believe it or not, she was just as upset about the loss of the "free" Mickey head as she was about the lanyard!

We have since replaced the lanyard, but can not replace the Mickey head balloon weight from PA! And that's why I need someone's help...

I wouldn't want anyone to have to spend money to replace it, but I thought there might be someone out there who could keep an eye out for a CM at their resort giving them out?

I have a 13 month old who is 16 pounds, still wearing 3-6 month clothes and I never thought I would find another baby as small as mine!! So that makes me comfortable reading that!!

Sophia, our babe, is the 4th and had her first Disney trip in March. We drove 3000 miles to get to the magic with a very hyper 10 month old!

I also have family in TN so we stop half way and visit them when we drive to Disney.

Just wanted to post and give a shout out!

Hey MeMom and Jill! I just wanted to POP in and wish you safe travel and loads of sun and fun. I will be following FB for updates when I can. Sarah has taken over my computer for her State Nursing Boards review. Plus, I have been sick. Went to the doctor today. Got a shot for poison ivy and for a bad sinus infection, plus my iron is low. Good news I have lost 36 pounds since April. Next doctor on the list is my Orthopedic doc to start my series of shots in my knee. I have three months to get my knee in Disney walking shape I hope it helps because I want to enjoy every minute of Ty's first trip.

I love looking back at when Brooklynn was litte, man time has flown. It's hard to believe Bella and Ty are almost 15 months old. By the way Jill I had to take Ty to the doctor last week. He still weighs 23 pounds. He has weighed 23 pounds since he was 6 months old. He just gets taller. He wears size 12 to 18 months. Still only has 4 teeth and would rather play than eat. I hadn't thought of getting his hair cut on Main St, but I just might do that! It would be his 6th haircut but that's okay.

Say hello to POP for me and warn them Hurricane Ty will be blowing in the first week of October!

I finally made it here after tubing down the Coosawattee River in Ellijay. I would post pictures but believe it or not, I didn't take any. I decided that I would sit back and enjoy instead of seeing it through the camera lens.

I can't believe how close you are. Looking forward to seeing if Brooklynn can beat the Test Track picture when she rides Tower of "Tara".

Now that I went back to read. MeMom's comment about informing the CM @ Pop Front Desk about Bella had me cracking up. I almost woke up my new roommate.

Looking back at the pictures of when Brooklynn was little makes me happy to be apart of your lives through the DISboards. I feel like I know you guys and I haven't met you yet. That will change Thursday though.

I hope my phone gets fixed before Thursday. If not I'll contact Jill or you through FB.

Oh and about Flat irons and volume. I prefer my hair to be flat but even if I wanted volume I'd end up with frizz anyway. Gotta love this Florida weather.

I got my hair cut a little today, so we shall see how it behaves.

Jill - you have probably seen how little hair Toby has too! I wonder if he can last without a hair-cut another 57 odd weeks before our August 2011 trip - so his first hair-cut can be in Disney too! I will see what Daddy says!

This was in April...I guess he is still there. Haven't been to DTD lately. Hmmm...maybe I should drive over and do some shopping !

Yes, even brussel sprouts are better at Disney!

I always want to come back and grow a fabulous garden after riding Living with the Land.

Oh we LOVE brussel sprouts. If you get the frozen "baby" ones and add sugar to them while cooking, they are sooooooo good! Kind of like candied yams, but candied brussel sprouts. Even my DD loves them. She calls them baby cabbage heads! I think they get a bad wrap! But you're right, they do look even better at Disney!!!

I'll have to try that. I like them with a little cheese on them.

You have some beautiful pictures! DH looked over my shoulder and wants to know what camera you use (I think he's in the market for a new one!)

Canon SX120IS. The old pictures were from another camera, though, and I really don't remember the numbers. It was a Canon, though.

Love the pictures from when Brooklyn was a baby. She is so cute!! It makes me realize how quickly my little ones are growing. Your schedule looks like it mixes a lot of fun and family time together.
I have a quick question. I saw earlier that Disneyland was mentioned. We right now have a trip for Sept to WDW but I really am considering not staying at the GF due to cost ( I love it but I really do not want to spend that much). So, I was looking at vacations and I have decided to go to either WDW and stay at WL, AKL, or CBR (Great rate on travelocity) or the packages to Anaheim are cheap so I thought about doing Disneyland for a couple of days and seeing California. What would you do? I am so confused!!
See you all Friday! That just sounds great doesn't it? I can't believe it is so close. I get to see Cinderella's castle this week!!

I think it would be neat to see Disneyland, but if given a choice, I'd probably pick WDW over DL most every time. More things to do. But, if you want to see other things in California, that would be cool for you. The only thing I care much about seeing in California would be DL and San Diego Zoo.

I just love going back over previous trips!! Brooklynn is just too cute for words!!!!!! Your trip is so close!!! I can't believe the 4th of July is this weekend!!! WOW does time fly!!!

June was very low-key for me, and I had a lot of leisure time. July is booked pretty solid. August is my least favorite month of all, because school starts back.

ok now I am caught up. :0) Seeing you mention that Brooklyn wants to go on tower of terror reminded me of my DDs first TOT experience. lol. She was around 4 and the line was 20 or so minutes long. I spent the whole line trying to talk her out of going on it. lol. But she insisted. I have never seen her so sure that she wants to go on a ride so i went with it. Even inside at the preshow I continued to try and nope she was going. So we go on the ride and she is silent. When it was done the lady next to her turned to her and praised her saying how good she was that she did not scream or anything ... how brave, etc. Daisy's response was "I was too busy making my scared face" then she squished up her face into TERROR and showed the lady. I felt like such a bad mommy thinking I should have never left that decision up to her. lol It took 3 years before she could even look at the TOT again. And I am talking even the mock up of the TOT you see driving onto WDW property. She would turn away and No one was allowed to say the name of the ride as even hearing the name scared her. My poor baby. LOL. Happy to say she can look at it and hear the name now but says she will never ride it again.

No pictures of this to share? Poor girl.

I think it will be good to encourage Brooklynn to try any ride once, and after that, she can make up her own mind.

If the 6th works for you, we will plan on meeting that day. The 9th is up in air on where we are going right now so I would hate to miss out meeting. Let me know what times works best for you. We will be at Epcot at rope drop. We will probably leave mid - afternoon and come back for our Garden Grill dinner.

Brooklyn was such an adorable baby! Love it that you got escorted into Toon Town by Minnie.

Oh, I loved the cars parade at DHS too. It was our favorite!

We've been on Fourth of July before. It was hot and crowded, but still great. We don't let heat and crowds bother us too much.
