Does anyone know where the boat from Wilderness Lodge goes? I know it goes to the MK, but does it stop at any of the resorts along the way?

We are staying at the Polynesian and was wondering if we could take the boat from there directly to Artist Point for dinner and back?

This seems easier than connecting.

WL boat does not stop at the other hotels.
You can take the monorail from the Poly to MK and get off there and hop on the boat to WL.

Have a great time

oops. have to change my counter, we just got back a few days ago

Or..you can take the monorail to CR, and then a boat to WL (there is a boat that goes between the two - but check the hours of operation.)

There's a bus that goes from TTC to WL to FW, makes one big loop...since you can walk to TTC from the Poly, that might be your best bet yet. And...it runs later into the evening if you need to return to the Poly after MK has closed or the CR boat has stopped running. (The boats only run about an hour after park closing.)

Enjoy my favorite restaurant - Artist Point!

I just read elsewhere that there are no longer busses going from resorts to the TTC. Bummer...that was convenient for us to get to the Poly. That's how we always went. Short ride to TTC from WL, and then walk to the Poly. Oh well...looks like if you have to get back after MK closes, then you'll need to transfer at a park that is open or DD. Ugh...shudder the thought. I would never want to transfer through DD. A taxi is sounding better every minute!

We just moved from the Poly to the WL this morning. We walked from the Poly to the TTC. There IS a bus stop for the WL at the TTC. Just hopped on the bus and went right over.

Do you think that the type of people that stay at Wilderness Lodge like the disconnected (can't get there from here) feeling of seclusion, or do you think it would be wise for WDW to connect to the resorts by boat, just like Boardwalk and BC YC do???

I love the Wilderness Lodge and have thought about staying there several times and always back out and go to the "easier to get there" places like Polynesian and Boardwalk.

What do you think???

My tip for the WL... Actually the WL is pretty close to transportation. We found that we could wait for the busses or take the Crocket bus (I think that was the name of it) that drops you off at the ticket center. The bus ride is about 3-5 minutes and there aren't any stops. Once you are there, you have access to the monorail and all of the busses to other destinations. Plus, the return bus to WL from there (or just about anywhere else) stops at the WL first. That bus came by a lot more frequently than the other buses.

I have stayed at the WL and GF several times each and the Poly once. I haven't stayed at the WL since Feb., of this year and I understand the bus routes have changed since then. During Feb. the bus from WL to EPCOT took anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes from bus stop to bus stop. I didn't find the monorail at GF or POLY to be faster. From the GF you would take the monorail to TTC and change to the EPCOT monorail. From the POLY you change monorails at TTC or walk to TTC which can be a several minute walk if your bldg. isn't close to TTC.

In Feb. they did have a bus from WL to TTC. I think WL was maybe the only resort with a TTC bus, along with Ft. Wilderness.

The direct boat ride from the WL dock to the MK dock takes from 7 to 10 minutes. At the MK you can take a boat to the GF and POLY.

I have found the WL transportation to be fine. Maybe things have changed since earlier this year, I'll find out in Dec..

Cathy baby RN - THANK YOU!

I found that TTC bus to be a life saver many times. When I read on the transportation board that all resort buses to the TTC had been cancelled I was bummed! Going in late Aug. with a first timer and had wanted to show them the Poly and maybe eat at Ohana's. Thanks again for the info! :)

There is a boat that goes from WL to the Contempo. From the Contempo, you can take the monorail to the Poly. The boat has short running hours though, so I would check before you get on. Last time we waited on the dock for about 10 minutes and we finally noticed the sign that said it only ran unitl 10 p.m. It was about 11 p.m.:D
