From Oil Wells to Jingle Bells-Bells,pg.66, See you in September!

Joining in! And I am from a suburb of Chicago...Milwaukee! ;)

In all fairness we are no longer in Chicago, we're now in Carpentersville, about 40 miles NW. I suggested the move when my sons' first words were in a foreign language.

:lmao: I was trying to sing it!

I'm really enjoying your trip report. I especially had to laugh about Turtle Lady and Hog Lady...we're always giving names to crazy/odd people we encounter in our travels!

Lori

Hi Lori, I think everybody does, you have to refer to them somehow when you don't know their names. A long, long, long, long, (hey, you can stop me, you know?) long time ago, I became Nebo due to a jersey I was wearing, long story.

Just got to this post in my reading and am laughing at myself for mistyping Smidgy! Sorry about that dear I'd like to blame it on my new crappy keyboard, don't buy a Logitech. That is unless I was at home when I typed that then it was the wine.

and DARN! I got the Mr Dillon ref.

reading on !

Cm4, I'm so glad you pointed that out, i missed it myself the first time and now I have something else to call her.

I have read and loved all your trip reports but never posted before because I always seem to find them when they're about to end. I was so glad to find this one (relatively) near the beginning. It was funny, I had just finished reading a different report and went looking at the index to try and find one from someone I enjoyed, and there was yours! :cool1:

I had a 2002 Santa Fe that I loved and adored, made several trips to Disney in it, but foolishly let my brother borrow last year. He managed to total my baby. He wasn't hurt at all, which I was very happy about, but I sure miss that car.

Terri

hi Terri, really glad you could get aboard in the beginning. You realize I'll have to end it now tomorrow night?
That's a shame about the Santa Fe, was it this crappy maroon color too?

OK, my first thought was noooooooooo, but then I realized you were joking about the report ending. You were joking, right....right??? Oh good, I thought so.

My Santa Fe was white. Every time I pass one on the road I get sad.

Terri

Before we get started, does anyone know if Captain EO has been laid to rest again, not that summer nightastic is over?
Why would I want to know? Just wondering, just wondering.

Um, no. Apparently since they went to the trouble of digging M.J. up, or taking him out of the freezer, or whatever, they're going to keep the "Captain Eo" travesty running "indefinitely."

I only wish I had a gallon of bleach to down after having watched it last weekend...

I am Posting A Reply!:dance3:
Turtle lady, I probably would have just dipped ever so gently the towels into the pool and then nicely returned them to the 'sleeping' loungers..;)
So the skeech slide? Not so nice huh?

burly I like that idea:woohoo:

Seriously, we are from Chicago(close enough) there is NO GOOD PIZZA in florida. My sister moved down there like 12 years ago. She is still looking. :sad2:

KIM

there is one pizza that's up here AND down there that I heard is good but haven't tried is UNO.
It still can't be as good as Lou Malnotti's though.

Nebo and Smidgy remind me of me and my husband. Two goofy adults who just are crazy in love with each other. Me and my husband were at the verge of divorcing a couple of weeks ago but just that thought of being without the other was heartbreaking. :) I am subbing to this trip report and like I read before "Bring it ON!!" popcorn::

Hi Minnie J, She once told me that even if we divorced again, she could never picture being in DisneyWorld without me, and I feel the same way about her.

OMG I laughed so hard I nearly wet myself. I have done that! Was waiting for an elevator at work with my back to it talking to co-workers. I heard a ding turned around to walk in and WHAM.

Love you guys, can't wait for more.

hello Mickeyorbust and welcome. Almost every trip report listed in my sig has at least one elevator episode in it, elevators and the people that end up in them just hate me.

Just popping in to say hi :wave2:
I don't know how often I'll be able to post as I am really busy right now :sad1: but I will be happily reading along and spewing my hot coco all over my laptop. :rotfl:

Emily is 16 now? Wow, great to see you. Hard to believe that it was almost 3 years ago we all met at French Quarter isn't it?

Hey Nebo, Smidgy. Just want to say I have been reading your reports....OKAY lurking:rolleyes1 With 32 days of rain at least I have something to read:scared1:

Welcome to the party Alaskanian. I didn't know it rained that much up there.
Always wanted to visit Alaska in the summer and watch the sun not set.

So I am wondering, like Monica, what was it that was so disappointing about the sunrise that morning? :confused3

Also, I :happytv: at your thought that the sunset might be better!

Vero Beach looks like a pretty nice place to stay. :cloud9:

Thanks, Nebo! I checked out your backstory, LOL. So glad you and Smidgy found your way back to one another. You both sound like really cool folks! Looking forward to reading the rest of your report!

I'm glad we did too, Cara. Paying that cleaning lady was expensive!

Count me in!

Nebo and Smidgy- You too are adorable! I hope my DH and I get to enjoy many years together just like the two of you! (Preferably at DisneyWorld and preferably without the divorce!) We are only 4 years and one baby boy in so far, but it is wonderful!

Thank you C and C.
Living your life, together with the mate you choose is like one long DisneyWorld trip. There will be a lot of high points and definately some lows, but if you can still enjoy the fireworks together at night it will be worth the trip.

(boy, that almost sounded poetic)

(or erotic)

Smidgy, I think I read all the other trip reports and I just wanted to let you know I appreciate finding out the real story behind the double wedding anniversary dates. It wasn't too confusing, maybe I read too many time travel books, too. :lmao:

Marie, judging from your edit, I think our computers may be related.

OK, my first thought was noooooooooo, but then I realized you were joking about the report ending. You were joking, right....right???

Terri

Yeah, yeah, don't worry, I haven't gotten to any real pain yet. And all hell hasn't broken out yet, that's coming.

Um, no. Apparently since they went to the trouble of digging M.J. up, or taking him out of the freezer, or whatever, they're going to keep the "Captain Eo" travesty running "indefinitely."

I only wish I had a gallon of bleach to down after having watched it last weekend...

:rotfl::lmao::happytv::rotfl2:
That's hilarious. i hadn't gotten the this in my report, but, well, Well Put.

It was just a blah sunrise. No different shades of orange, magenta or violet, or contrasting hues against the deep blue sky. I've seen better sunrises driving in to work.

i'm having a hard time picturing a 7 year old going by the name of Moose. Maybe you can change it to Bulwinkle. Na, then you'd be Bullwinklesmomma.

Seriously. He's been "Moose" since he was about 4 months old. He was one big baby! :scared1: He's been trying to ditch the name for over a year now but DH and I can't seem to break the habit, what's worse is that many of the times he responds better to "Moose" than to his real name :confused3

Normally it doesn't rain this much, we usually have nice weather. this year we had to build an ark:rotfl2: My DH and I do the world every year without kids also, I think we have the most fun sitting in the smoking area watching people. I love your reports thank you

I missed two great updates while I was away on vacation. No, not Disney :-(

Vero Beach sounds like it is really nice if you are into the whole relaxing on vacation thing;)

Had to laugh at the whole Blago conversation, but you were right! Did they actually sentence him yet?

That Disney pizza is cardboard, don't think there is much they can do to improve it other than to toss the recipe and try again! ::yes::

How can I forget, when you didn't stop me from ordering the Moray eel with feet.

I knew you were deaf, just never realized How Deaf :faint:

Methinks we are going to have to try to meet up again...

now that you have that newfangled hearing aid and all~

colleen... he'll probably tell you what he tells me "you're too loud!" sheeeesh. (oh, and you can't mumble under your breath at him anymore)

I'm here.
Had to get caught up on Miss BabyLee's TR- RigLee's.
I had more moderator's come out of the woodwork and post on her TR-I didn't even know those moderator's existed.
I don't even know what boards they moderator.:rotfl:

Looking forward to seeing how you all are doing.
Did you move out of the FlatLand state yet?
More grandchildren?

And what an oxymoron title.

Then I finished by saying,,,,"They're from a suburb of New York City".

(boy, I just know a couple of readers are gonna let me have it)

But he just laughed and said, "New Jersey."

"Like I said."

Sigh. Loving your report....BUT....the reason we say we're from New Jersey is because the only cities we have are terrible!:rolleyes1:goodvibes Newark, Trenton - high crime, dirty places. One of the worst parts of this state is that the airport is located in the ugliest area in the entire state - near refineries. That is most definitely NOT NJ!

Okay, back to catching up now:surfweb:

Nicknames just happen. You can't give yourself a nickname and you can't make one up and tell people to call you a certain name. it's all a matter of timeing and who starts calling you by the name, sometimes not much you can do about it. He'll probably be Moose the rest of his life and that's not a bad thing.

When we're in the smoking area watching people we try to guess shere each group is staying. "Oh look, these are All Star people if I ever saw one."
"Na, I'd say CBR,". One time we made a bet on it we were so sure, and I still had a folded over name tag from taking the Segway tour that I unstuck apart and slapped it on my chest. Pretending to be a cast member taking a survey I went over and asked them.

I felt like an idiot when they told me Travelodge on 192. Off site resorts and motels never occurred to us.

Welcome back Janet. Yes, they did reach a verdict and unfortunately it's pretty much as I predicted. Of 24 counts against him he was found guilty on ONE, and the jury was hung on the other 23. The one he was convicted on was the most minor, lying to the feds.

I knew you were deaf, just never realized How Deaf :faint:

Er er Guvnor, sounds like a bully idea to me, just not at Woes and Frown.

No, I just tell YOU that YOU'RE too loud.

I'm here.

Hi Ohmari. No, still stuck here in "The Land of Blago", but we do have another grandbaby on the way.

Welcome Valleygirl, I think it's like that all over, in every state. If a tourist didn't know better and took certain routes or expressways through the south and west sides of Chicago they would think it's the most hideous city they ever saw.

Thanks for reading, everybody, I should have a new chapter posted tonight. :teacher:

One? One? Oh yeah, I remeber those days when all I needed was one.

Unlike you, I haven't had 5 foot surgeries and although I have back problems, they're nothing close to yours. So one will do for the headache the next morning. Unless we get to the so called throwing up stage. Then it's "PUKE AND RALLY BABY!!!!!" :lmao: Then I might not need even one.

If the "forcing" came from school, I envy you. I had to read Wuthering Heights and Brave New World.

WH was another one I was forced to read in high school, and watch the movie. :sad2: Senior year. I would've rather been watching Singing In The Rain. At least this movie is in color. :rotfl2:

We watch people (not kids) have meltdowns. One little kid asked dad where mommy was going. he said mommy needs time alone:confused3
