From Marcelene To The Magic Kingdom Tour

We are considering taking a behinds the scenes tour during our trip in Oct. has anyone taken the Mareceli e to the Magic Kingdom tour and willing to give their thoughts? The description on the WDW site is a bit scarce. I have taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour but hubby has not and we didn’t want a tour quite as long.

I did it in January and really enjoyed it. It goes really in depth on Haunted Mansion and Carousel of Progress. If you like those attractions and enjoy learning about Walt Disney and his inspiration, it's a pretty amazing tour.

Does the tour show you the tunnel system at all?

No. The only behind the scenes is the ballroom at HM (and walking between HM and Small World to get there). It’s a good tour but we felt there is too much standing and listening to the guide tell stories and point out a few details. It took an hour to walk from the front of the park to the door at HM. It’s worth it once to see the ballroom at HM, but I won’t do it again. It wasn’t that good. Most of the information was new to me, until we got to Tomorrowland. I’ve read a few books about Walt, seen a few shows, and read everything at One Mans Dream multiple times, to give you an idea of how much I know about Walt.

No, but you do go backstage at the Haunted Mansion and see some cool stuff.

Ive done both and honestly I almost liked Marcelline more than Keys. Both are great! You will enjoy it.
