From Kick'n It at Kidani to Play'n It at Pop adults only p62/63 last thoughts&request

WTG Homer.

I think Cirque would be great with all adults, while the kids would love it I have a hard time paying that much for the tickets. I think you can have a very full day without OD'ing at AK lol! I know we plan to and you will LOVE EE in the dark! I don't know if it will be dark on our trip, I'm planning an 8:30 ADR but given that it is August...

I hear ya on the ticket prices. There is no way we could have taken everyone in June. We wanted to go in september, but it was closed during our visit. Just as well, because I would have felt torn between MNSSHP and cirque.

I'll have to ask Melissa how she liked cirque because I think she saw it on her anniversary trip. She was on the plantinum plan that included EVERYTHING!

Your dinner at the Flying Fish looked amazing!

I'm so sorry about your feet; I can feel your pain. When we were there in 2007, I got blisters on the balls of my feet and ended up in a wheelchair. It's awful when your feet hurt!

Oh Denise - It was amazing! Not sure where you are eating on your upcoming trip, but I highly recommend it!

Blisters on the balls of your feet - that sounds terrible!!!!! Mine were on my heels, my toes, and the side of my feet. I know I had moments where all I could think of was LL and the scooter she had to rent in May. Wheelchair, Scooter - Can't say I wasn't tempted!

MNSSHP would probably win for me too. I have seen Cirque twice but not this one. Oh oh oh! I just had an idea! Maybe Jeff and I could go on our DATE NIGHT!

:)

I am (im)patiently awaiting those pesky hours too!!
Cirque is a great idea!! I saw the show "O" in Vegas a few years back. It was one that they use water as part of the stage. It was stunning!
I think we get a DVC discount for that too.....maybe
I must say that I liked the beer selection better than the food selection at R&C!! I do like me some Stella!!
You are way far ahead of me with all of your planning! I better get moving!!

Oh, H__L, I know there is a funny picture here somewhere. Either funny, or gross, or BOTH!

I think that's a great idea! I'll let you know how it is. I have heard nothing but good about Cirque. I know it is impossible to take pictures in there. If you even take the camera out of the bag - Busted!

They can't come soon enough. I am so glad we are back to the 180 day ADR's! :woohoo:

I heard the O show was excellent. And I have seen some DVC discounts for Cirque, so I hope there is still one available for next May!

I'm not planning.....I'm obsessing!

OK - THAT is exactly what I needed. Oh yeah.....I can just see Denny pushing me through the parks in that contraption! :rotfl2: Do you think they would let me in????? Is that a safety hazard????? Would I scare young children????? Would they cling to their mother's ankles when they saw me roll by??????:rotfl2:

Wow I was so behind! Great thing is I got to see about five updates all together! :thumbsup2 This picture could be a travel agency ad, its beautiful!

In catching up, I skipped much of the chatter so my apologizes if this was asked and answered, but.... why is Denny on fire in this picture? :rotfl2:

I had no idea you were not supposed to take pictures in Spaceship Earth! I took tons on our August trip!

I haven't been to the Boardwalk yet but its a must do for next time. Loved your photos.

I'm so sorry about your feet! Ugh.

But, it did provide a great opportunity to explore, and enjoy, the Boardwalk lobby! You took some really beautiful pictures-I've never fully explored that lobby, so thank you for the tour in pictures!!

Love your Illuminations shots too!! :cloud9:

I thought I commented on your last update series! :confused3 Geeze, I lossing it!!

Great pictures!!!! So beautiful!!!

I have agree with you about the menu for R&C. It's not screaming out at me that I really want to eat there or that I'm really going to enjoy it. Your right about the beer though, enough of that and ...

There's also such a wide variety of option in Epcot that if we hate it we can find something else good right around the corner!

Thanks! I like that picture, too. Like I said before, I ought to have one or two really good ones considering I took about 1500! :rotfl:

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl: Good question.....I have no idea????? It's probably because I can't hold the camera still. But, you're right - he does look like he's on fire! He knew that was our last ride before our break. He was probably "hot" to get out of there and back to Pop. Probably thought he was gonna get lucky or something.:ssst:

n fire in this picture? :rotfl2:

You can take photos, just not flash photos. The only way to see that caveman wall was with a flash. Otherwise it just looks like a blank wall.

I haven't been to the Boardwalk yet but its a must do for next time. Loved your photos.

Thanks! I think those photos made a lot of people interested in visitng the Boardwalk next trip!

I'm so sorry about your feet! Ugh.

:

Thanks. I will say though, as much as my feet hurt, it really didn't put a damper on my trip. I was really able to ignore it, for the most part.

Oh, I loved the Boardwalk. :thumbsup2 Thanks for your compliment on the pictures. I hope I get to stay there someday!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that! :rotfl: At least you have an excuse - you have a trip in 8 days! BTW - I LOVE your new ticker. Very cute!

Great pictures!!!! So beautiful!!!

Thanks!

I'm sure I'll find something I like. I remember CP's meal looking pretty good. If nothing appeals to me, I just go with the fish and chips. As long as the fish doesn't come out up a head or tail! :rotfl:

I'd say quite strange and rather gross.....
I'm not pushing him in that thing, no how, no way!

Ooppssss! I almost missed this comment Wigd - What, You're not going to give Shocker a ride around the neighborhood in that contraption? Well, why the heck not?

Rise and shine Tuesday! :goodvibes Our third day of the trip was already here! I woke up to find my cell phone still next to me after my late night texting rendezvous with Brian. Brian's game went into double overtime, so he got home around 10pm. He was still up when we stumbled in from Epcot. For some reason he kept texting me. I think it was something about not being happy that chuck was there supervising them. I just let his rant go in one ear and out the other. Lalalalalalalalalala. I'm not listening!

When my feet first hit the floor, I remember thinking, "Oh No! I can't walk". Between my blistery feet and my muscle fatigue from the marathon walking WDW require, I was having a hard time with simple ambulation. Fortunately, I got my stride back pretty quickly. DH was still asleep, so I set off to get some nasty nescafe to feed my caffiene addiction. Unfortuately, I put way too much cream in my coffee and it made it really luke warm. Bleech! Again - half the coffee went down the drain.

Now I know you are going to think I am crazy, especially since I've been complaining about my feet so much, but......I decided to go out for a short run. Yeah - call me what you will - glutton for punishment, dim-witted, not the sharpest tool,....OK....bring it on, I deserve it. But I just really wanted to go for a short run this morning, especially since I was sure I wasn't going to feel too much like running the morning after the Halloween party.

One good thing about sore feet and running. Running is not nearly as painful as walking or standing. My blisters felt fine, my feet didn't hurt. I felt OK, not great...., but OK. I only ran along the lake and my mileage ended up being about 1 1/2 miles. But a short run is better than no run. Right? So off I went.

I love the lake ....it's so pretty and relaxing. It perked me up even when I didn't really feel like running!

When I got back, Denny was still watching TV and he was not even close to being ready to go anywhere. So, needless to say, by the time we were ready to leave it was nearly 9am. Today we were going to spend the morning in AK, come back for a nice, long break, and then head to MNSSHP. I was a little disappointed that we had not made a park opening yet, but sometimes it's better just to be a few minutes late. And, today was one of those days. We got the last parking space in the AAA lot, so counting our blessings, we quickly headed into the park.

I really didn't want to waste any time taking pictures UNTIL.....we had FP's for EE in hand. So we walked right through the oasis, past Discovery Island, past the Boneyard, past Nemo, across the bridge, until we finally arrived to face the Yeti!.

We got our FP's and noticed that we could not see any sort of standby line. The wait time was posted as 5 minutes. Was that possible???? Geese - in June there were standby people backed up to the FP machines. Feeling optimistic, we entered the standby line. Could we possibly be as lucky as yesterday?

Here are some pics in the queue. Denny took them because I was just too darn impatient and only wanted to get on the ride.

DH put the camera away once he realized I had no interest in looking at anything in the queue. I just wanted to ride. When we got to the loading platform I asked the CM if it would be possible to ride in the front row. She motioned us to a small line with 4 people in it. Ok - :thumbsup2 - this was going well, really well. Yup, we were basically walking on at 9:20 in the morning and we were riding up front to boot!

I asked DH if he would take pictures during the ride. I would have done it myself, but I have this terrible fear that I will let go of the camera and it will hit another passeger and knock somebody out. DH was a real trooper. He took pics during the whole ride, and even though he didn't get the best view from the top of the lift hill, he did get some pretty good shots. So......get........ready...... Here is EE from the front row.

When I saw these pictures, I literally squealed. I was so super pysched to get such great pictures. So Kudos to Denny for taking them. But I'm not done yet. Denny took a few more inside the ride.......

Sept2009-Disney580.jpg

OK....I have no idea where this next one is in the ride but it looks a little scary!....

Sept2009-Disney585.jpg

Let me just say that the front row is totally worth it. The best part was the long drop coming out of the mountain. That was totally fun and was actually a little scarier than I thought it would be. Hail :worship: September for giving me the opportunity to ride EE in the front row!!!!!

Of course, here is our ride pic.....

Sept2009-Disney588.jpg

OK - the next one is not the most focused, but for anyone who really wants to see me smile.....Well....this picture speaks for itself

Sept2009-Disney590.jpg

So.....Up next.....AK....a photographer's dream! And ...How many animals really are on the Tree of Life?

Is it safe to open my eyes yet? (I always close them on roller coasters!) I can't believe Denny got such great pictures from the front row because that entails taking your hands off the safety bar!

Your ride photo is great!

I am with Katie -- as a non-runner, a mile sounds like a lot! :lmao:

Oh so cool on the EE walk-on! I don't blame you for wanting to get it ridden. Don't you love the front seat? We are always more than happy to wait for it.:thumbsup2

Great picture of you on the ride, YES, I'd say that's quite a smile!

Wow what incredible EE pics! :thumbsup2 But as great as those are, the best one is your PP pic! You look so happy :)
