My neighbor will be staying at Holiday Inn Family Suites in 2 weeks. They are renting a car. They arent sure if they want to pay the $6 parking fee. They are thinking of taking the bus transportation from the HIFS. I told them they are out of their minds to rent a car and then take the bus transportation. For the convenience of a car (personally my family will never stay offsite again) I think the $6 will be worth it. How is the bus transportation from the HIFS?

I would like to comment on the bus transportation from HIFS to the Parks...

We just returned from HIFS and stayed from 10/13-10/20.

The bus service is great, they're clean and current buses, they come and go at various times and have a schedule available at the information desk or on their website they prefer your have a reservation for the bus a day in advance but we seldom did this.

The longest it took to get to any of the parks was about 20 minutes with trafic, but it is very convenient.

We also had a rental car and used it only to go the MNSSHP for one evening and do Downtown Disney for one day, it really was a waste of money though... We couldn't justify paying $6 a day to park...

Hope this helps.

We rented a car AND tried the HIFS buses. No problems. Like the previous poster said, they are clean and have a very flexible schedule. If your friend isn't planning on visiting or eating anywhere but WDW I would say they probably wont need a car.
